I hang much of that on Grier providing him with a very questionable roster to put on the field each week. Flores was fired, yet Grier was not. Now Flores is killing it in Minnesota, and we are none the better. Another great job on managing front office and coaching staff decisions by our lost ownership.

I can't argue with that. All I know is and I loved Fitz but playing him cost us Burrow.

Well Josh Allen was a full dumpster fire last week but he also has one of the worst WR cores in the league at least until today. Rodgers would look so much worse with those weapons.

Rodgers is not playing on any kind of elite level right now. If you want to argue that it will start to show then fine but be honest about he has played so far.

Allen has a much better oline. And his receivers did a very good job getting open and catching balls against a very good Yets pass defense. If Rodgers was in Buffalo he'd put up better numbers that Joshy. Rodgers hasn't had elite numbers because his team sucks. He's still an elite QB, however. He was smashed at every turn last night and still almost led a comeback. Even though the Yets should have been ahead, but their FG kicker crapped the bed a couple of times.

Reading some of “your” posts, I can’t help but shake my head. For those of you hailing the Jets, especially now with then trading of Devante Adams, you all are overlooking one serious flaw. This is the New York Jets you are talking about.

Permit me if you will; while there are many who claim just how important the quarterback is (and I don’t disagree having the right quarterback is essential), have “the quarterback” is not THE solution. And while Aaron Rodgers may have lost a step, he’s still a damned good quarterback, with so much experience the game moves in slow motion for him, as it does for all great quarterbacks that have played as long as he has however, the Jets are such a dumpster fire of a team that not even a great quarterback like Rodgers has been able to make them any better.

The Jets reunited Rodgers and Hackett, which was supposed to light the Jets up offensively, but that was such a tragedy that Hackett was relieved from offensive play calling. And now some of you are touting the reunion of Rodgers and Adams is going to dynamically change the landscape of the Jets offense that they are somehow suddenly contenders again?

I watched the game last night and the Jets’ offensive line is extremely suspect. They couldn’t block for Rodgers and they sacked him for huge losses on a single drive.

Someone earlier said that if this were Tua, THIS conversation wouldn’t be happening. Well it did happen but the difference between Rodgers and Hackett’s reunion, McDaniel paired up with Tua creates one of the most explosive offenses the league had seen in decades. Now, this season has been off to a very rough start and needless to say the Dolphins have their own issues to contend with, the fact remains that no matter what the Jets do this season, their year will end as dismally this season as it has for the last 20’years.

I think it is folly to spend time worrying about a trade with the Jets for a pass rusher... they are not dealing him within the division...

    No way.

Garrett on the other hand... all bets would be off.

Yep, garrett is who im after.. browns are looking to rebuild, theyre going nowhere fast and are stuck with watson…

Im not sure what we can accomplish this season but having garrett in sets up a foundation for our defense moving forward.

id give up tyreek and a first for him.. not even kidding..

The Jets would have to give the Eagles a second round pick if they were to trade him to the NFC, so that cuts their potential trade partner pool by half. I’m sure they don’t want trade him in the division, but beggars can’t be choosers; if nobody else ponies up a serious offer, they run the risk of losing him for nothing. I’d rather have Garrett, too, but it depends on what each team is asking for.

I don't know. If Hill gets a fire lit under his a** he's still one of the most dangerous big play threats in the league. Between him, Waddle, and OBJ, plus Achane and Wright as weapons if our line can step it up even just a little, and if Tua stays healthy, then we can match points with anybody on any field on any given day.

Problem is that is a couple big ifs at the end. I am keeping my fingers crossed that a group of big a** grown men can grab their lunch pails, then reach down and find their testicles for the rest of this season, because that will influence and possibly determine the second big if

I think we are a little too rich in receiver.

waddle, obj, river.. add another and a tight end.. that should be good enough for any team in the league..

myles garrett is the best defensive player in the NFL in my opinion. You add him to this defensive line, i dont care if you have davante adams, amari, wilson.. we are putting josh allen and Aarons *** to the ground constantly. We already provide a lot of pressure missing chubb and now phillips. Myles garrett is THE best at it, the most elite at his position and the second place guy tj watt is a distant second IMO, third place just cracked his leg in half.

its all a pipe dream, but man if the browns want to rebuild and they call us im not hanging up.. thats like getting a franchise quarterback for your defense.. like trading for prime tom brady.

Need further proof just how bad the Jets suck?

The first 6 games of this season with Aaron Rodgers as their quarterback...and the first 6 games of last season with Zach Wilson as their quarterback...

The Jets offensive yards per game were nearly identical, actually with last year's Jets averaging 5.1 yards per play to this year's Jets 4.5 yards per play...and the number of points scored have been identical at 113.

It's crazy, man. The Jets are 2-5 with a clearly washed quarterback and coaching staff that doesn't know what they're doing and Chris Collinsworth has the balls to say the "Jets still have a path to the Super Bowl if they get their stuff together". The glazing is unbelievable lol.

The Jets sold their soul and they're going to pay for it for a long time.

Yeah see this is why Flores was right to file a lawsuit...

The first words out of your mouth when looking to Flores and his firing was his record.

He was brought in and lied to... Ross and Grier wanted to tank and forgot to tell Flores.

So the roster was gutted and Flores still made the team better and they started to win games...

Ross then started telling people he would pay $100,000 a game for losses.

So when Flores gets fired his won loss record is worse than what it would be and his career and earnings potential are damaged by being part of this franchise.

We need to gut this team like a fish....

Trade Waddle, Hill, Ramsey, Holland, Sieler, Tua (If anyone would take him.)

Start over with a new HC and GM

Lay out a plan to get Manning first overall in 2026

This is why you can't be taken seriously. I may not have watched the game yesterday. I may have had to try and listen to it on the road on chat sports, but I can read a play sheet.

"We should trade...your list of players" and yet, you don't mention Mostert who fumbled and gave the ball to Indianapolis just outside of the redzone. You don't mention Ingold who fumbled at the 15 yard line as the Dolphins were driving for a touchdown. You don't mention Sanders who missed a 54 yard field goal resulting in a 6 point swing in favor of the Colts.

The Dolphins game plan yesterday was SOLID and up until Mostert's fumble was being executed as perfectly as anyone can expect; run the ball against the NFL's 27th rated rushing defense. The Dolphins ran the ball down the Colts' throat accumulating 185 yards rushing. The Dolphins were starting their 3rd string quarterback and when he was injured, had to resort to their 4th string quarterback. There's a reason they're the 3rd and 4th string quarterbacks which also explains why Hill and Waddle aren't even part of the play results.

Turnovers are critical in any game and when you have to result to such a conservative game plan as the Dolphins did, they are crucial. Two fumbles and a missed field goal will be the death nail in a team's coffin, but according to the logic you present, I guess we should gut the team and start over like the New York Jets, huh?

    Mostert is old...
Mostert has almost no trade value

I would have listed him if I thought we could get anything for him.

But if it makes you happy... yes I want him off of this team

As for the logic of gut this team and start over.

3 years of Hill.... No results.

So now we have an old team... Mostert is what 32? Hill is on the wrong side of 30... Ramsey is old.

    This season is LOST....

We are not making the playoffs...

    We have a choice...

Blow this up now... trade away anything and everything that some other team will pay for.

and get a top 5 draft position next spring.

    Or keep this together...

Try to win 8 games... Miss the playoffs and miss out on a top draft pick.

    Those are the options. Pick

This is what is going to happen. They will make a little Run when Tua gets back.Make us all think we have a shot at wildcard but lose to the Jets who will already be eliminated and end our season.
Of course this will put us in the middle of the pack drafting and we will end up with another Chop Robision type of player

    But

we had a chance to trade down and still get an elite Center for the offence and we did not do it.

Looking at the rest of the schedule I see four tough games... Buffalo, SF, GB and Houston. I can see us finishing 9-8 or 10-7 with Tua healthy the rest of the way. Tua misses any more games then we're rooting for a top 10 draft pick. We've been bad but how much it has to do with Tua will be known as soon as Sunday. Lots of AFC teams with high expectations have looked bad as well so anything is possible. 9-8 could very well be enough to grab the 7 seed.

Well i posted on this thread Davante does not move the needle for the jets.. and yesterday i was proven right so far..

he did not open up the offense, he opened up a bunch of screen plays in the first half to Breece Hall.. but after the first half, the steelers locked up everyone.. including garrett wilson who struggled hard yesterday, had stone hands..

davantes first step is not what it used to be… and he hasnt been that guy since his green bay days..

now theyre going to get an out of shape Reddick on their roster.. this jets team has not changed since firing Saleh.. its the same old jets.

their defense is still very good despite their struggles yesterday.. and their pass rush will give us problems with our weak offensive line
