Followed up those great Wright runs by never letting him see the ball again To be fair that makes sense as you really need to get the ball in Ingolds hand as much as possible
This should put the finish on the season, right? Even a wildcard spot is very iffy and the team would be better served looking at a GM and probably coach change. Give the new management a really high pick to start another rebuild.
Someone has to get fired tomorrow. That someone has to be named Chris Grier. You can't have that clown in charge of what has to happen moving forward towards the trade deadline.
The right thing to do is offload some of the talent we have for draft picks.. and we cant do that with Grier, because Grier is looking after his own job and will try to make low impact moves in attempt to fix what we got now that could put us in a deeper hole. guys like ramsey and tyreek need to be on the block ross fire grier, assign assistant gm with the duties to stockpile picks.
Tua made McDaniel. It's clear he's not a capable head coach. Colts played terrible and they did nothing to take advantage. I know Mostert and Ingold didn't help.
If Tua played every game this year, they are at least 4-2 right now. They probably beat Seattle with him too.
Yeah, a Tua return does nothing to save this season, just getting Miami into a 12-16 range first round pick. Just let Boyle and Skyler finish out the season and clean house. Oh, yeah, trade some older players for picks, I assume with the stupid contract extensions that Ramsey and Hill can't be traded due to the cap hit? The question is which players will still be young enough and productive 2-3 years from now? Keep those and clean house of the older vets.
I was already out on Grier's roster, but yeah this game was an indictment on McDaniel. This team is a disaster. We have far too much raw talent to be this bad. But everything this season has gone wrong. He could potentially get himself another year if Tua comes back and we look good, but without a dramatic turnaround this stretch is pink slip worthy. I just don't understand how we can be THIS bad. That's coaching. As for selling assets, it's doubtful that it happens unless it's at Ross' directive. But honestly, I won't be sad to see some of these guys go. For all the money we invested in Hill and Waddle they have been 0s this year. Picking Waddle over Sewell was a huge error. Loading up on RBs while neglecting the OL was asinine.
If Grier, McDaniel and everybody else that got sugar coated on here; missing Tua shouldn’t be that big of a deal, that it apparently is and nobody knows IF we were that good with Tua. It’s been stated here numerous times, that the O hasn’t looked good, even with Tua in quite a while…
Even if Tua was back, there has been very questionable coaching and decisions made by Mcdaniels. whats disturbing to me is, last year the commanders were a dumpster fire, we had the most explosive offense in the nfl, and went to the playoffs… yet , a head coach change, a top draft pick qb and now washington has surpassed us in a blink.
Not so sure about that. This offence has been fiqured out starting the end of last year and this coach has no answers.
I said this over a week ago, and had people saying no to keep him the rest of the year for consistency. I guess some people would prefer us to suck consistently.
Wrong. Tua and McDaniel made each other. Tua was bad without McDaniel, and McDaniel is bad without Tua. McDaniel was brought in to implement a system specifically made for Tua and salvage his career which he did last year. Now the league has caught up and figured out the system and Tua's fragility reared it's head again, so the whole system fell apart and there is no plan B.
When you think about it, they actually had the right gameplan running heavy. They had two captains fumble the game away in Mostert and Ingold. Why Ingold is getting the ball on first down I don't get especially when they were running successfully with the running backs. Also, that 4th down run to Ingold was so predictable and Indianapolis knew it. Have to be more creative there.
Tyreek Hill 1 catch 8 yards. 1 rush 5 yards. Jaylen Waddle 1 catch 11 yards. Just unacceptable with two weeks of preparation.
If ifs and buts were candy and nuts, we'd all have a Merry Christmas. Who cares about "if"? Tua can't be depended on to not be hurt
Still wasting timeouts.... Still not getting plays called on time... Year 3 and McD is consistently out maneuvered and out coached and we saw it again on display against the Colts. When he was a rookie head coach this crap drove me up the wall and I forgave him because he was young and inexperienced. No excuse for this crap to still be a problem in year 3. The game was winnable today and McD is one of the major reasons they lost.
