last night i watched 88 minutes due to the fact there really hasn't been anything out on video the last 2 months. anyway it was probly one of the worst movies al has been in. it lacked in the whoah department and didn't get me sitting up waiting to find out what happens next and also lacked in a twist at the end..never did i say i didn't see that coming. i would give a rating but don't feel it deserves one.

i also watched what happens in vegas a few days ago and enjoyed it alot more than i thought i would..i'll give it a 7 on all around movie basis and a 9 on ashton kutcher movie basis. i hadnt laughed that hard in some points in a long time.

It really upset me how bad this movie was. I am a huge Jet Li fan, and Brandon Frasier is a good actor in his own right. The directing on this one seemed choppy, and I hated the actress they got to replace his wife on this one.

Saw Eagle Eye, it was alright. Has its moments but wasnt quite what I was hoping it'd be. I also had the 4 dumbest people on the planet sitting behind me so it was hard to enjoy it as much as I might have under different circumstances.

Hatchet - the gore and boobs alone kept me entertained. Not a great film by any means but it really wasn't meant to be, just a decent old school style slasher flick.

    Choke

Based on a book by ChuckPalahniuk, writer of one of my alltime favorites "Fight Club"

Sam Rockwell plays a sex addict who makes money off of strangers whom he gets to save him from choking, while also working as the "backbone of colonial society" in a colonial Williamsburgh type theme park.

For any other fans of the book, it stayed very truthful, if there is any change it is that it is played much more for comedy.

Highly recommend it. 8 out of 10.

Just saw that myself. Old school, indeed.

    I also saw:

    House of 1,000 Corpses
-- A little too over-the-top stylistically for my liking. I almost had a headache by the end of it. Still, it was amusing. And I finally figured out who the guy in dirtywhiteboy's avatar is.

Deception -- Ewan McGregor and Hugh Jackman in a mystery centered on an anonymous sex club. Pretty entertaining for a surprisingly under-the-radar film.

Rob Zombie's Halloween -- Zombie has matured as a purveyor of horror, and it shows in this thriller. I liked the quasi-prequel approach, although I would not recommend the director's cut, as it slows to a snail's pace at times.

Being a huyooooge horror movie buff I enjoyed the living hell out of House. It took the 'crazy redneck cannibal family' storyline to new depths. And Sid Haig turned out one of the most memorable performances of his entire life in that flick. My wife and I usually watch it every Halloween, that is until Zombie remade Halloween, which I also thought was fantastic. The original shrouded Myers in more mystery, and we didn't learn too much about him until the sequels. Zombie's remake was almost like a character study of a serial killer, and IMO did the original justice. The DC was a little long, but I love a DC version of a movie, and despite the slow downs it was still a great ride.

I was hoping Zombie would do a prequel/sequel to the House/Rejects franchise. Sadly it doesn't appear that will happen, but I think he has some room to work if he decides to give it one last go.

Rejects had a totally different feel to it, more of an action flick. It was good in it's own context, but the unreal feeling that House gave you was completely gone.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall (unrated) - Awesomely funny movie, although I could have gone without seeing Jason Segel's dong so many freaking times...but the hotness of Mila Kunis and Kristen Bell made up for it.

Gone Baby Gone - Very solid 'who done it' crime drama. I enjoyed it.

I was severely disappointed to be honest. Even if I sound like a broken record, go and get the novel. Great crime series by Dennis Lehane, a very bland adaption by Affleck, especially when compared to Eastwood's brillant Mystic River adaption.

"Taken" ...good movie. It's a well paced movie. It'll make you a bit paranoid because it's about kidnapping with realistic edge. It's worth watching.
