Trade it for a bunch of picks as long as Grier isn't the one doing the picking. Then pick a bunch of OL.
Consistency in this franchise- Worst owner, GM and HC. Car crash doesn't begin to describe it. Rip it up and start again.
It's been a group effort in futility. From top to bottom. The season was over after game 2.It's difficult to watch the carnage.
exactly! I mean how F**King stupid can he be to call ANOTHER BS play like that? Need 1 yard, lets run sideways for 5 to try to get the 1
No one is taking two years off for any player. And there isnt a guarantee Arch comes out in 2026. If hes been okay with sitting his first two eligible seasons dont count on him to come out on his first eligible draft year. He doesnt have to hurry, hes taken care of at home
Fire Grier. Trade Tyreek, Ramsey, and Achane for a bucket of picks. Tank, get the first pick in the draft, grab a QB, a few OL, a power RB, and then some DB’s.
Mcdaniels playcalling is so erratic its almost as if hes playing a video game and just picking random plays.. hes not reading the defense.. he just keeps with the this may be fun if it works mentality. this offense aint my style.. you see how detroit plays, very aggressive running game, very aggressive passing game. Nothing flashy, just go vertical
McDaniel is great at making great relationships with the players, but sucks at being able to coach. Ross did us wrong again.
No. I base my opinions on actual evidence. Grier has been an average GM. Due to his inability to be anything better than average, I feel he needs to go. The Dolphins need a shake up. You; however, base your decisions on basically nothing other than “Super Bowl”. Which is fine, I guess, if a person wants to be foolish.
Grier has been a GOOD GM when it comes to getting free agents. Hill, Mostert, Ramsey, Chubb…in that regard, he HAS been good, but where he’s faltered poorly, is his ability to draft and/or sign free agents to build a solid offensive line. I know there are some posters that don’t agree with me on the utter importance of the OL, but when you look at what’s happened when we’re down to our back up QB, that line has to be solid so the QB can hand the ball off, let the RB’s carry some of the weight so it’s not all on him, especially when you see who we have as backup QBs. That’s my main reason for Grier needing to go.
I realize that us “grading” a GM is subjective. (Look that up if you don’t understand) However, by all objective measures, overall, Grier has been a pretty average GM. I understand that the not so smart only use things like “Super Bowls” to grade a GM, but smart people look at everything involved in an objective way. For example, how many NFL GM’s have won a SB? How many GM’s are able to draft good to great players at even a 50% hit rate? How many GM’s are able to get good to great FA’s? And so on and so on…. When a smart person looks at everything, they come to the conclusion that Grier is basically average. Now, it’s perfectly fine for a person to not want average. My reply to that is, “well, you could do worse”. And I’ve also felt like if he’s average, and we get a good HC and QB, he’s good enough to win a SB. Of course that has yet to happen. Why though? Well, IMO, two big reasons… lack of finding a good coach (pre McD) and injuries. And again, I realize that the not so smart will claim to know who is and who isn’t “injury prone”, but that’s just provably wrong. Another thing that is involved in winning a SB is luck. Yea, I know, but it’s true. A lot of injuries are just bad luck. Sure, there are guys who tear the same ACL over and over, or players that are careless (Tua is one, hopefully he learns), but drafting JP was the right move. His concussions had no bearing on his Achilles and now ACL. Bad luck. Herbert, Burrow, and many others have missed many games and never were injured in college. I think it’s time to get a new GM. Why? Because I want a shake up. Hiring and firing GM’s and HC’s every year isn’t the way… even though the not so smart think it is.
If we look at last year, for the first half of the season when the OL was intact, it wasn’t bad. It was average. If you look at the grades even this year they are about average. The problem has been injuries. When you lose your entire left side of the line in the middle of a game it’s going to hurt a team. I DO think we need younger guys on the OL. I DO want the Dolphins to draft better there. Mainly because Armstead is old and we have no depth. And, a better OL can’t hurt. Overall, Grier has been about average.
That kid from Boise State, Ashton Jeanty, looks like a man among boys out there. If we could pick up some extra picks, I’d definitely target him in round 1.
Oh, and at least 3 OL. And just say no to Deion Sanders’ kid. I’d rather draft Ward from the U, not just to avoid the headache that the Sanders family brings, but also because he’s pretty darn good.
So far I’m liking Ward. He tends to sail some throws, but I’ve never seen a guy more relaxed in the pocket… whether it’s stable or collapsing. His pocket awareness is outstanding. He has a good arm, can scramble, built well. I want to see how the season plays out though.
Oh sure, it’s a long way from now to actual draft evaluation time. A lot can happen between now and the CFB postseason. This qb group looks to be better than expected. Haven’t really paid any attention to OL or DL prospects yet.
Oh sure, genius. Drafting an overrated injury prone QB, giving him a big contract extension after getting injured 3 out of 4 years and winning 0 big games, and protecting him with a **** OL and an injury prone LT, and backing him up with a practice squad level QB. Filling up the team with overpriced and over the hill veterans and injury prone players. Pissing all the draft capital we had down his pants. Yup, that seems just about average GM work to me. It'absolute dog****.
Same here. I’ve been meaning to look at some OL, DL, and QB’s. Those three positions should be the Dolphins top targets, IMO.
Some FO Rams guy is alleged to have said that's why they let him go. But yes absolutely overpaid. It's the Miami way.
Yes, I was wrong about Zach as were the jets, he cant process NFL speed and defenses. I was right about most things though pertaining to the dolphins.
