He did, we’re down and his Samoan pride is hurt because the Bills smoke us again. He‘s human and no Robot. Sadly his body just seems not made for the pros…
Colin Cowherd said last year that a Rams coach told him Jalen Ramsey had nothing left which is why they got rid of him.
Seriously this is a disaster. The franchise is set back years because of this. I have zero faith Tua is safe on a football field after this concussion. Trade Hill now, get a pair of first rounders, and start the rebuild. I was wrong about Tua. He's done.
He's just not durable, never has been. John Allen takes that hit no problem. Concussuons don't get better with time. Each time you get one it becomes more likely you'll get anther one. Grier is the one who is stupid for giving him the big contract.
Concussions lead to more concussions on even softer hits than the previous ones. Everyone knew this would be more likely to happen again even on "softer" hits
He doesn't belong on an NFL field period. Yet somehow he's our backup with an injury prone QB as the starter. It makes no sense whatsoever.
Everyone definitely didn't know this. We might have knew this. However, it was very much argued he's healed and was not at risk for concussion anymore than anyone else.
What a disaster. First, McD's play calling was terrible. This team is not build to win by relying on the run with lots of short passes. What made this offense great was the explosive passing play and it's like he just forgot that. Then you have Tua's bad play followed by a concussion. I see some comments on this page (haven't read the others) saying it's over for him, but I doubt it. Tua continued playing after all those concussions a few years ago, and I bet whatever his reasons were for continuing to play haven't changed. We'll see, but I bet he'll be back. Hope McD learns from this.
WTF are we gonna do? First and foremost we need to sign another quarterback. I would call Seattle and see what they want for Sam Howell. Go from there. This has to be it for Tua. 90 million promised to him on top of the 70+ million he's made. Just fkin call it a career dude.
Not sure about this. The media talking heads are already gaining steam and this is going to be a national story again. It's going to be too much this time.
Dude it doesn't matter if Tua wants to play. You can't build your team around a guy who gets concussed on run of the mill plays.
Assume he comes back for a moment. My prediction is McD will put huge guardrails around him when he takes off and runs. He'll probably note that Tua's concussion came not from falling incorrectly like a few years ago but by diving head first. So I wouldn't rule out building a team around him assuming he comes back. But for sure it's concerning.
His reasons for continuing were likely that second contract. That he just got. With alot of guaranteed money. Alot has changed now I'd think. Personally, if it was me... wife. 2 kids. strong family network. three major concussions, two of which left you momentarily stiff on the field... It's time to pack it in so I can watch my kids grow up and enjoy them before it' too late.
He certainly looked good tonight to me. The only bright spot. 22 carries, 96 yards, 7 catches for 69 and a td. We ran for 139 as a team, and passed for 212. Achane was the offense tonight
He would still have this years money and the signing bonus which is nothing to sneeze at. Still a lot to walk away from obviously.
Last season, the organization asked Tua to bulk up to help protect him from injury and essentially forbade him to run, or so it seemed. Tua got dogged for being “Chubby Tua”, never mind the fact he lit the field up. So this season? Tua, drop weight so you can scramble and run like you did in 2022…which got you concussed twice. Not a great call if you ask me.
McDaniel schemed short passes for Tua because Buffalo, like the Jaguars took away the timing routes to the middle of the field, and all they could do was short passes to the flats with Tua's limitations. Not rocket science. This will be the end of Tua's career. Thankfully. Tuanon can stop pretending we have a franchise QB and we can all move on.
