Thats actually really cool that you have met Akebono Tokyo. I think Sumo wrestlers are fascinating. They are mammoth men, but most of them are agile and pretty quick.

Yeh but these men are like really fat. Jake is heavy but not like that. linemen do have alot of the same traits that sumo wrestlers do.

Actually, there's quite a bit of muscle on Sumo wrestlers.

In '96 I got to visit a practice session with Akebono and Musashimaru on Christmas Day. It was interesting to watch the training. They are definitely very rough on junior wrestlers and if you aren't flexible, you can guarantee that you will get injured. Flexibility is one of the thing they emphasize.

And if you don't have some muscle in your legs and upper body, you aren't going to move those massive mountains of flesh out of the ring.
