Looks like Michigan is about to win this. Florida seems tired out.

Henne,Manningham,Arrington, and Hart (despite his fumbles) all played their hearts out for Coach Carr. Adams,Taylor, Jamison, and Crable also did their best on D. Could not be more proud of them right now.

    but...

WHERE WAS THAT PLAYCALLING DURING THE SEASON?!? Honest to god, we use that playbook all year maybe we do better.

Wow, horrible game by the Florida defense. Offense didn't look their best either.

No excuse for causing 4 TO's and losing like that.

Hats off to Michigan, those players wanted to send their coach off on a high note.

On a side note, those refs were horrible, both ways and Hart is a mouthy little punk. :)

Come on UF fans, give credit where credit is due. Michigan flat out out played UF and Henne made plays when he had to. Career day for Henne. Great way for Carr to go out. Over all good game.

I thought Florida looked decent, Tebow was Tebow. Hart was mouthy, but UF started it before the game by taunting Michigan.

    I'm just saying.

just to set the record straight, Florida started the trash talking before the game, and they were doing there fair share of talking as well.

makes me wonder if they were using Rich Rod's playbook since 1)we never go shotgun that much 2)We never do that many screens, trick plays, handoffs to Manningham 3)We used Junior Hemmingway and Tony Clemons in plays instead of just as blockers.

If DeBord was calling plays they would be zone run to left, zone run to right, deep fade to Manningham, underneath pass to Massey/Butler.

today's game did bolster a lot of top prospects for the draft.

Players rumored to be leaning towards declaring that played in the game- Derrick Harvey, Cornelious Ingram, Mario Manningham, Adrian Arrington

Terrence Taylor is also checking his status and right now grades out as a late 1st early 2nd so me might declare, but is 50 50

I'm very happy Michigan won, I still don't forgive Florida for that BS game they played against Iowa a couple years back... Sure it wasn't their fault the refs were totally on their side... but I hav'ta scapegoat someone... and Florida it is.

Bad year for Florida anything, unless you live in Tampa (Bucs, USF), Orlando (Magic), or Jacksonville (Jaguars.)

We were whipped fair and square,The Big Blue came to play and the Gators who looked like they read their own press clippings too much .You think they would have learned from last year.

Having said that the officiating was horrible.Nit picking calls against the Gators that cost two TDs which would have won the game. One was an illegal formation Wwhich the Gators have been lining up in all year and which nullified a TD .Apparently these officials hadnt seen the spread offense before. And there were others nitpicking calls too which changed the complexion of the game.

Michigan had a good game plan going which exposed the Gators main weakness which is the defensive backfield. They have been a problem all year which is why they had three losses coming into the game. Its no surprise Henne had the game of his life.A lot of QBs have had their best game against that secondary.

I also thought Michigan dominated the line of scrimmage. We had an OL playing DT and the problems of defensive depth are obvious on this team.Need to get some studs to fill those spots in recruiting.

This is a very young and rebuilding team .At least another year away from contending again IMO.

Anyway my prediction that the Bulldogs would cut Hawaii and Colt Brennan down to size came true.Obviously not in the same class.

Georgia is the SEC team that has impressed me the most this year and they should the favorites to win the SEC next year.Personally I think they are better than LSU at this point in time.

BTW did I neglect to say Congratulations to the Michigan fans !!

    Congrats to your Wolverines
I don't know where that offense was all year, but your boys were unstoppable today. Henne didn't miss, and those giant WR's were money. Not to mention your OL was just an impregnable wall.

UF's defense was been suspect, at best, all year. Yesterday, they were exposed as badly as I could imagine. Spikes and Doe were back to their mid-season form of suck. They were so overwhelmed by the UM's mauling OL, that they didn't attack the gaps and just got swept out to sea. Our secondary of 18 and 19 year olds looked their age.

I don't understand why we didn't go with a more aggressive blitz like Michigan did. They overloaded us on their blitzes, and killed Tebow. We kept running zone blitzes, and got no pressure with them. Meanwhile Jermaine Cunningham is left covering Arrington 10+ yards down field. Disaster. We were getting no pressure from our 4 man rushes. Sometimes you just need to sell out when the other option has such predictable results.

I know a few of my fellow Gator brothers are optimistic about the defense next year, but I'm taking a wait and see approach. It's too bad right now, and needs to do more than just improve.

I'm not sure why Tebow was dropping back on 1st and 2nd down in the 4th quarter. We needed to keep the 3rd down's short and manageable given the obvious inability of our OL to stop the blitz. I also think we need to run more option plays. Nothing neutralizes the blitz as well as the option. We should have run it over and over until UM saved the blitzes just for the 3rd and long plays. Absolutely pathetic job by the OL. Thank god Medder is a senior. I can't imagine anyone else at LT would be more of a swinging gate.

I'm concerned about Mullen and what I observe to be tendency to succumb to pressure situations. I call it the "pucker effect", and I've seen in enough this year from him to believe there is a pattern. In tight games, with UF behind late in the 4th quarter, he calls the game like Wanny would if he ran the spread ;) It becomes Harvin, Harvin and more Harvin. It's straight drop back for Tebow, and close throws like screens and slants. Basically, the offense loses the element of surprise. With a QB like Tebow, there needs to be some plays were the offensive lines slides to allow him a designed roll out, while giving him a good option to run with the ball. UM was blitzing so much in the 4th quarter, that I would have expected to see Tebow run some draws. I appreciate that he looks to pass on pass plays, but I think he needs to be coached to take off more. His runs are always designed runs, very rarely are they improvised. When a defense is rushing 5-6 guys, their secondary is in man coverage, and they lose the luxury of spying the QB. Big opportunities for Tebow to make them pay for the blitzes, but Mullen played it close to the vest and rewarded Michigan for their aggressiveness.

Spot on. Good post bro. :)

I definitely have my concerns about the defense next season as well. We desperately need Harvey back.

If Harvey does come back, you def. need more depth. He's out there wa-a-a-ay too much. Awesome player though. I think he'll be in the NFL next yr though.

If Harvey comes back, it'll be because his stock dropped via too much playing time. He looked like a 1st team All American the first half of the year. IMO, he's just worn out. His first step isn't near what it was in September and October. Maybe the NFL draft committee will see it, maybe not? Selfishly, I hope he gets a 4th round grade, but I think that's just wishful thinking.
