Probably one of most convincing episode for me is St. Augustine Lighthouse. I love the video they got there.
I would love for someone to explain away all the solid EVP's they have accumulated, and I'm not just talking about the ones with random voices but the ones that actually answer questions.
Easy, they could have cut away and had the camera man say the words. Or they just edit it after they leave for the few days before they give the results. Its TV, I just can't believe they don't add anything in the show to make it more interesting. It just seems suspicious that they have so many cameras and so many camera men and they NEVER find hard evidence, or when they see evidence the camera is ALWAYS facing the wrong way. It happened twice in last nights episodes.
Some evidence from past shows/seasons... Of course they could, but watching GH do you honestly think they would do something like that? There is not a doubt in my mind they wouldn't.
Look, if people don't like the show or think it's 'fake' then that's their opinion, but this thread was started so fans of the show can talk about it with one another, plain and simple.
Look at it this way; if Ghost Hunters wanted to be fake why wouldn't they have evidence on every show? I mean out of a whole season maybe there will be 3 good pieces of evidence and by that low number that reaffirms to me that they are not fudging their evidence (if they were they would have evidence every show). Also there is no point in debating ghosts as you either believe in them or not (which usually boils down to whether or not you've had a personal experience or are just a believer in the unexplained).
I understand some of the naysayers on this stuff. Either you believe or you don't and honestly it's really almost impossible to believe in Paranormal existence without having had an experience yourself. Having said that, if any of you ripping the Ghost Hunters guys (TAPS) followed this at all you would know that they are one of the most well respected investigator teams. They have even garnered respect from detractors of the Paranormal field. Any evidence they capture is always put through the ringer and much of their findings have been deemed unable to explain. There are means to investigating such things as EVP's to see if there has been tampering.
There's been examples of those types of shows that do fake evidence. It's usually pretty obvious and someone from the crew of the show ALWAYS ends up talking about it before long.
Yeah there is Most Haunted I believe and even Paranormal State to an extent. Actually after watching Ghost Hunters I watch the other shows and pick them apart comparing them to Ghost Hunters. BTW if anyone wants to also turn this thread into a personal ghost experience or any other strange happening you have my permission.
Ghosties I watch Ghost Hunters alot too and have enjoyed it quite a bit. I think those guys are pretty honest and real. I was wondering if anyone here has had any ghosty experiences? I want to believe, like somone said earlier, as proof that there is something more our there on another plane...or where-ever. I think I'd like to go camp out at the Waverly Hills Sanitorium, where they did a couple episodes....that place looked creepy.
I'm not 100% sure, but I believe I read somewhere that the current owners of the property are turning the Sanitorium into a large hotel.
THAT would be cool. I think old sanitoriums/asylums would be a natural as a "vacationers" paradise. They'd get tons of ghost-hunter wannabees. Cheers, Inflames!
Has anyone every caught Ghost Adventures? It's a two hour documentary that has been on Sci-Fi a bunch of times, they have caught some of the most damning evidence I have seen captured. Here is a review of it: Movie reviews: Ghost Adventures - by D. Anderson - Helium Also here is a bunch of YT videos of the movie: YouTube - Broadcast Yourself. Check out ones with the brick getting tossed, simply amazing.
Hey all, I was curious if anyone seen ghost hunters international last night just curious if anything worthy of watching happened.
It's the original GH season right now, not GHI. Anyways, I enjoyed last night's episode. Not alot happened but I'm just glad to have Jason, Grant, Steve & Tango back. Last week's show was crazy however.
Well I think if you really and truly trust the GH crew you have to at least consider the results from it as intriguing. THey continued to ask the same questions to confirm the meter would light up only upon asking the right question. However, I do trust these guys and I still have a real hard time trusting it. If you were a skeptic there's no way you'd think anything but that they have a remote they push to light the K2 up anytime they want. Seeing that, you'd never be able to get verifiable information from using that device IMO.
ahhh ok, well my download site (since no tv atm) showed banner for international but was named ghost hunters, So I guess wrong lol. Thanks man
I swear someone was in that place I dont care if they showed the side by side camera times, there had to be someone creeping around there. It was definitely large enough that a person could of stayed hidden but it looked creepy how they were walking though.
Very cool episode last night and the person on the thermal camera was very great. It wasn't a normal one either seemed like it was running or trying to sneak around.
Jason's hotel room was extremely creepy. I thought it was funny that MLB players had to stay there when playing the Rays, and even funnier that if they stayed on the fifth floor they ask to pair up with one another out of fear.
Old thread, but I just found this (searching for posts by Tomfish) I have a ghosty experience.... I met my Ex-girlfriend (Camille) in college. She lived in the dorms before we dated, and she moved to a single room during her sophomore year. She was a REALLY grounded girl so I was a bit surprised when she started telling me stories about weird things happening in her room. Over the course of about 4 months she started to get REALLY strung out. You could tell she wasn't sleeping much and was getting really nervous about going to her room. After doing a bit of asking I found out that there was a history of "hauntings" on her floor and a few other girls that I knew who had lived there and reported similar occurrences. There's an unconfirmed report that a football player had committed suicide on the floor years before (I couldn't confirm it but I didn't try too hard. The University obviously doesn't advertise that kind of stuff and works hard to cover it up. I know personally of 4 deaths on campus and was only able to confirm 2 if that tells you anything). The dorm (it's pretty old) has mirrors on every floor but that one because people were seeing in in the mirror (allegedly). Lights going on and off (including her vanity mirror switching which was REALLY hard to turn) Rattling on door handles stuff rolling off of shelves hearing footsteps on the carpets Electronics turning on and off toilet flushing cold flashes I even spent a night in her room and no **** a corner of her carpet lifted and and slapped down in the middle of the night. I still wasn't convinced... Then came checkout date. I helped her and her family load her stuff up and Camille went to check out of the dorms. At this point there was only 3 people in her room....her mom (Julie), me (daphins), and her 3 year old sister (Amy......maybe 4 but I think she was 3). Her mom and I were just staring off when her little sister started staring at the closet. She then turned to her mom and said "Mommy, who's that?" Julie said "That's daphins..he was helping Camille move" Amy replied "No, who's the man in the closet" Julie said "What man in the closet Amy?" Amy pointed to the closet and said "The big man...he's staring at me.......he's dead........he moves like this (and she made zig zags all over with her fingers i the closet)" My jaw dropped to the floor. True story
Awesome and this actually gives me a chance to bring all of my stories up (been waiting for an excuse ). I'll start from worst to best. When I was growing up I lived in a house that had been lived in before my parents had bought it. One of the bedrooms had holes in the door of the bedroom and holes in the wall which we had always found to be strange. Anyway when I was about 10 my parents decided to make some additions to the house. That is when my dad who isn't a person that likes to make things up and is very serious said that he saw a shadow move across one of the rooms he was working on. So very strange. Then for several years nothing happened until when I was about fifteen I was going to the bathroom (which was next to the bedroom with the holes in it) and heard two distinct voices of little kids screaming. One said "No, daddy please don't" and the other "please help." Needless to say I was a bit freaked out by this and since I was alone at the time promptly turned around and went to the other side of the house. Since this was my first ever experience I brushed it off as me just hearing things. However one more thing occurred in that house right before we moved when I was 18. One night my mom said she woke up and found my dad sitting up in bed staring at the foot of the bed. She asked him what he was doing and he said that he saw two little kids standing there without faces but with distinct bodies (so much that he could see one was a little girl with long hair) with the little girl holding her hands up wanting him to pick her up. He said when he first saw them he closed his eyes and looked again and they were still there. The weirdest thing I thought was that it matched up with my two voices I heard (two little kids). Also of note the people who live there now say that the house is haunted. Very weird stuff however I am not finished as I know these stories are me hearing things or second hand stories now things are going to get real interesting. For a lot of years I spent almost everyday between my house and a friend's. The house my friend lived in is the house that convinced me that there is something beyond the world we know. A quick back story on the events is that they all always occurred in the fall, which coincidentally is when his grandfather died (in the house) but also there was a house that stood where his house did years before that had burned. They didn't know if anyone had died in the fire or not. Also in the house any pet they had ended up dead. Not in the normal way but of broken necks or some other crazy method. One time they had 11 hamsters (2 had just had babies) and all at one time died. Just very weird stuff. Anyway let's get started. This house always had footsteps in it. I remember many times sitting in one part of the house by myself and thinking someone was coming into the room but no one ever showed up and once again I just brushed it off. However one event occurred that changed me forever. One night my friend and I were playing games and suddenly the game froze which wasn't uncommon. However just as it froze the front door opened. Nothing weird about that except that we heard the door jiggle and both looked over at the knob and watched it turn and the door slowly opened to about half way. Needless to say we were freaked out and he ran to the door to see if someone was there and no one was. What made this even more freaky was that he had a dog that barked anytime anyone came into his yard and a front porch that made clear sounds when anyone was on it (a very small porch). Neither the dog barked or the porch squeaked so anyone being outside was not very likely. To continue on this same door once I was going outside and the door was slightly open in front of me (probably open a foot). So as I reached out to open the door to leave it swung forward and closed. Since it swung forward from the inside of the house to the outside the wind would not have been a factor. So once again very freaky. The next story occurred one time when I was alone in his kitchen and a 20oz cola bottle was in the floor. As I stood there the bottle began to roll towards the side of the house that had a slight slope so no biggie. However the bottle than began rolling back up the slope and stopped at my feet. Once again I was freaked out. This house was screwing with me especially because when I was alone things tended to happen. However we aren't done. One night my friend and I were sitting in his living room and he always liked to joke me about me being scared of his house and it being haunted. So as friends do I made him a bet that he should go shut the living room door (separate door from the front door I have mentioned before) and I said that it would not open but be stuck. I said this basically joking thinking it would never happen as the door was always closed and opened. Anyway he done just as I said and the door would not open and was stuck. It turns out that he had to use a screwdriver to jimmy the door loose. In a similar story I was at my friend's house joking that "the ghost" at his house hated me and wanted to screw around with me to scare me. So I said jokingly again that when I went home the ghost would follow me home and blow up me tv. As luck would have it I went home and my tv's tube went out and the tv was done. Weird timing on that one. So here we are at the end of my stories of ghosts and trust me I'm a believer and have no doubts about it. I don't think I am crazy by the way and if you've made it to the end of all of this I'm open to you telling me that I am.
Dude, I'll never again think someone is crazy when it comes to ghosts and such. There's just so much that we don't know or comprehend. I think they're out there (I believe in god too) and am just baffled at some of the things i've seen. That kid story is freaky though....not a fan.
Wow, you have balls sking. I enjoy reading about, watching, and even visiting sites of paranormal happenings/occurences, but to actual live with it is a whole 'nother story. Don't know if I could deal with that on a daily basis.
