I know the answer is No, and I know the dolphins won't do it this year, but I kinda feel we should instead of wasting another year and being right back here next year talking about a rebuild. Couple of reasons. #1 We got no defense coordinator and will most likely Get a subpar one I don't care to take a Chargers DC who ranked 28th as our replacement for vic. #2. I don't want this team to pay TUA top 5 QB money I just dont. We need to rebuild the Line and get a true TE and we needs corners / safeties / DE's and we need to resign like 14 Free Agents. All this and we're going to be a 8-9 - 10-7 team next year again. Ross won't, but we need to replace Grier, the scouting team, Physical Fitness team and more. This team isn't ready to compete. We should trade away what we can now and get some draft capital right now. Again we won't do this we will try to bandaid the team again and run it back, but the end result is we will be right back here next year talking about McDaniel can't get it done, now do we sign TUA to 150million etc... Hopefully Ross gives McDaniel some assurances he stays and lets Grier go and rebuild this franchise with another GM's dreams.
No one has balls in the NFL. Every objective person looking from the outside at this team knows in their heart of hearts that the style of offense McDaniel runs isn't going to work against good defenses without a mobile QB who can keep plays alive. Not a runner, like Jackson, but someone who can move around in the pocket, maybe run for a few yards when he has to. Hell, Baker Mayfield isn't any sort of runner, but he can move around and keep plays alive. Our QB needs to be able to do at least that much and Tua CAN'T or won't.
Yes, but Grier would have to blow himself up in that process and he's not going to do that. So he'll keep selling this team and putting blame elsewhere like the snake oil salesman he is.

One win away from being the #2 seed while being plagued with injuries the entire second half of the season. Yea let's blow it up and start rebuilding!
The only “blowing up” that appears likely to be necessary at some point is relegating McDaniel to the position of offensive coordinator and the booth during games, where he can function as a mad scientist, be just as silly and goofy as he wants, and have leadership over only a subgroup of players. He’s well-suited for that role and poorly suited to be the face and leader of an entire football team.
That was mostly the result of having the easiest schedule in the NFL up until the last 4 games of the season, then we saw what we really are when we played good teams. Every time we played a good team throughout the season we lost, and lost badly. Only good team we beat was Dallas in a very close game we could have easily lost, and Dallas showed themselves to also be pretenders like us so it's no great accomplishment to squeek out a win against them.
Against winning teams the Dolphins lost by an average of 13.6 points over and above the Vegas line. So in essence, virtually two touchdowns worse than expected. That’s a staggeringly poor performance in that regard.
How is Vegas always almost right? Sure sometimes it’s different outcome but it almost feels like they have it right 80% of the time.
Vegas essentially produces the best predicted outcome of games, based on past performance and variables specific to the game at hand between the two teams. If a team is underperforming the best predicted outcome by a substantial margin as a repetitive pattern of performance, it’s a strong indication it’s underperforming.
Everyone has injuries. The team that came back and beat us the last game of the season to steal back the division and that #2 seed had plenty of injuries.
