I wouldn't expect many replies here. On a side note I had delicious tacos for dinner last night. Very fresh. Not stale at all.

Nah I was nervous too after seeing the inactive list this morning. But there's a difference between being nervous and outright saying we're losing out and the season's over and we're frauds.

Also I never made any predictions about the Jets. I said the collapse last week didn't give me warm and fuzzy feelings about what could transpire in the playoffs.

You said "don't give me hope for the playoffs". And I told you that's fine, don't have hope, but I (and others will). This game proves there is legitimately hope for the playoffs despite your overreaction last week. Like I said after last week's loss, it's "just one loss", and one that will be remembered as nothing more than a good learning experience if they come back strong, which they just did.

What do you think it meant when I said it? I'm glad they came out and dominated today, without Tyreek. It answered questions.

You guys are acting like 13 year olds.

Great win, but this should not surprise anyone. The Jets gifted us over half the points we got, they have the worst offense in the NFL.

We shouldn't beat our chest over this one. We still have not beaten a winning team, the real test is the next three games all against good teams.

Hopefully we can dispel the pretender label and turn into real contenders.

The win may not be surprising, but how we won is. In particular, Tua had a great day without Hill and put up a 119.4 rating against the 4th best pass defense in the league: Jets gave up a 76.5 rating to opposing QBs up until today. So it really should be surprising to those who thought Tua would not play well against good pass defenses.

I do agree that the next 3 games are crucial, and I think the Dolphins will deliver. This isn't the same Dolphins team as from previous years.

If we win 2 of the next 3, we take the division. If we win all three, we take the #1 seed. If we win one of three or none, then there are scenarios where we could miss the playoffs. So there's still meaningful football to play.

Hopefully Dallas finds a way to win today, and hopefully we win the next two. That would make week 18 meaningless and we could use the extra bye week (essentially two weeks off for starters).

On the flip side, the Bills should beat the Chargers and Pats. So an early Christmas gift has to happen now or never to avoid a week 18 AFC East title scenario (if we lose a game before then).

Still in great shape though, just win three and we're in as the #1 seed baby.

LMAO! Oh BS. Always moving the goalposts. The "haven't won against a winning team" mantra is what fans of other teams always say. The Jets have a terrific defense and they gifted the Dolphins nothing. Tua had a better game against the Jets than any other QB this season. Dak, Hurts, Wilson and Allen...and the Jets beat the Bills, Broncos, and Eagles. The Dolphins only loss against a bad team was the Titans. All these "real" teams have lost multiple times to bad teams. Which is worse, losing to last year's SB team or losing to the Pats or Jets?

Yeah it's important to note three more goalposts that now have to be moved (running out of places to move the goalposts!)

    1. Tua can't play well against a top pass defense
    2. Tua can't play well in December
    3. Tua can't play well without Hill

Also, that perfect deep ball pass to Waddle in stride further refutes the claim that he's not a good deep ball thrower, or that when he throws deep the WR has to wait or come back for the ball. Of course this isn't the first time he's shown this, so those goalposts were already moved, but it's nice to have repeated demonstrations of this. Same with playing well with a crap OL.

And each week I see QB's with "real NFL arms" missing their receiver on that same type of throw. I think last week was the first time this season that Tua missed a guy on that type of play and that was because Achane was interfered with downfield. (No flag of course)

Tua can play at an elite level without Tyreek
Tua can play at an elite level against good defenses
Tua can play elite in December
Tua can play elite with a high school level o-line
    Tua can stay healthy

All these things are proven and yet we still have the troglodytes trying to come up with more sh!t that Tua must do in order to show that he's elite. Allen had an 89 passer rating with under 100 yards passing today, but he's a god. lol

I get what others are crying about- do I want Tua to be able to throw with the velocity of Tannehill on some of the deeper throws? Absolutely. But he can't and that's okay, because he makes up for it in so many other areas doing things most QB's can't. I'm not sure why some here are still butt-hurt over that, he's just a different kind of QB.

Don't know why, but the Tua can stay healthy part of your post just reminded me that a year ago, people were clutching their pearls and suggesting that he should quit playing. Haven't heard mention of that narrative since he shot down the question of retiring when asked in training camp. He's done a great job of taking care of himself and preparing for the season.
