According to Brazilian sources, the game will be played at Neo Quimica Arena, in São Paulo. It's a soccer stadium from Corinthians, initially built to host the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The Miami Dolphins will be one of the teams, and it's expected to be in week 1 of the 2024 season.

The NFL has expanded across the globe over the last few decades, and Europe has received most of the international games. The United Kingdom gets yearly games in London, and Germany has been a frequent host as well. In the Americas, Mexico and Canada have had games, but the matchup in Brazil will be the first in South America in NFL history.

"Neo Química Arena offers robust business opportunities for brands across all sectors," said Gilberto Corazza, Corinthians superintendent of new business development. "We have an action plan that involves inventory of commercial deliveries and premium properties available for activation, as well as customized experiences for brands. The Arena is an exceptional space and has become a protagonist in Brazil, bringing together sports, entertainment, and innovation."

Brazil has experienced a big growth in football popularity, even though soccer is obviously a dominant force in sports preference and coverage in the entire country. NFL's market research indicated Brazil as one of the largest NFL markets outside of the United States.

    Possibilities
The Miami Dolphins home games in 2024 are: New England Patriots, Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, plus an AFC West team to be determined.

    Marketing connection
The Green Bay Packers and the New England Patriots have the two biggest fan bases in Brazil, but the Miami Dolphins have a strong marketing connection with the country. The Dolphins were granted Brazil's marketing rights via the International Home Marketing Areas (IHMA) NFL program.

As long as they don’t lose a home game…

There was a good suggestion made on NFL radio the other day when they announced more international games. I think it was Pat Kirwan who said they should just play 16 international games, and every team has to play one. This way, nobody gains or loses a home game, and the travel issues even out since every team has to go abroad. He further suggested AFC vs NFC games, or at least no divisional games be part of the format.
Apparently, there are plenty of markets interested in hosting NFL games.

I hate international games and wish to God we never played them but, I agree with this…

If one team has to play overseas, then that ALL have to play overseas.

In the title you say "we open next year in Brazil". Does that mean week 1 is locked? That honestly wouldn't be terrible for an international game.

I agree. The 1st game of the season is ok. Even better if they make it a Friday night game.
