Both teams have rookie coaches who look they will be really good, but sometimes show their inexperience. I don’t think either team is bad, just growing with their coaches, and inconsistent as a result. Stroud might be the real deal; too small of a sample size for Richardson, and Minshew is what he is - a guy who will throw a perfect 50 yard TD pass one play, then throw a head scratcher of a pick next time.
I think Mahomes is tired of his having to carry the team. Guess the miss Hill asking them to not call offsides is pretty funny
That plus with the Eagles they get the special treatment from the refs. When they don’t get it, you see what happens when the 49ers played the Eagles.
I would feel good about beating the Ravens in Miami. Especially at 1pm. At Baltimore, in January, with the game possibly played in the dark, not so much.
Baltimore plays four playoff teams the rest of the way. They are by no means any kind of juggernaut and can easily lose all four. They could have easily lost at home yesterday to a .500 west coast dome team, traveling east for a 1pm game, in inclement weather.
Honestly, the only game that matters is our games. Win win win. Waiting on others to win for you is not way to look at it.
I was kinda crying about the horse collar on Hill, the no OPI call against X, the phantom hold call on IKE.
You did , but I didn't hear anything from the Dolphins, McDaniel or Tua + I don't recall the Dolphins getting calls from the refs (unlike the Chiefs) besides one game this season.
Oh my gosh- that made me furious when X was pulled to the ground on a ball he would have picked off. The ref was right there as well. But the next two plays, LMAO, X got a little shove off on the next down and then body slammed the receiver in the end zone on the play after that. He got his revenge...even though the initial penalty still gave them 3 points. Although I was upset, at least the refs called it consistently. X's foul was just as obvious on that 3rd down and Tenn fans must have gone ballistic.
Sorry I forgot to update this week. Today, we want four games in particular: 1) Dolphins win! (& the Jets lose, woot woot) 2) Cowboys over Bills (not looking good) 3) Jax over Ravens (tonight) 4) Pats over Chiefs (Chiefs won, LoL, oh well) Other games that effect lower standings (none went our way): 5) Vikings over Bengals (Bengals won) 6) Steelers over Colts (Colts won) 7) Titans over Texans (Texans won) 8) Bears over Browns (Browns won)
Its taken a long time but the Bills have figured out that you are allowed to hand off to running backs more than 5 times a game. They will probably forget at some point in the playoffs but until then that is going to make them much scarier.
The moral to the story of David and Goliath is that David is not the underdog. Being better prepared and fundamentally sound while having both confidence and a game plan is why David won. It doesn't matter that one fighter is twice as large as the other if the big guy literally brought a knife to a gunfight. Or, as it's written in 1 Samuel of the Owes Own 614 version of the Bible: Finding the right coach makes a world of difference.
Dallas looks like they are checked out big time. I hope they save some of that for their game in Miami. They are living up to their rep of being average, or worse, on the road. Well, maybe the Jags can give us another reason to smile this weekend?
Every QB has had one or more of these games this season. Purdy was almost out of the MVP running for a minute due to the Niners' schnide but thanks to recency bias, he's now tied with Dak for best odds to win. Having a rough game just adjusts the odds a little bit.
Dallas quit. Buffalo has to be held down enough so they have to play road playoff games. It’s hard to win up in Buffalo against those fans and the refs.
So we need the bills to slip up now since we had that Tennessee debacle. It doesn’t look likely with their schedule but who knows. Week 18 looking like it will be for the division.
Unless we win the next two, then week 18 is meaningless. That's the best case scenario since we'd be the #1 seed regardless of anything else. 1) Beat Dallas. 2) Beat Ravens in an early playoff game for the #1 seed. 3) Take two weeks off as our backups play the Bills.
That's only true if the Ravens lose tonight. If the Ravens win, then we need to win out to get the #1 seed.
I'd love to see that scenario come to pass. Miami could use that time to get a lot of players much closer to healthy. Odds are that week 18 will be for the division though, but winning the division and at least the #2 seed would not be the worst case either.
