He’ll be fired on Black Monday, along with Rivera and Eberflus. Saleh, Dennis Allen, Bowles and Smith might join them on the unemployment line.
He, more than anyone else on that list, wouldn’t surprise me if he came back, if only due to the Rodgers injury. There’s no reason to bring back any of the others. In a couple of cases, I think it’s the coach holding back a decent roster. I’ve heard Frank Reich may not last the season , but the Panthers’ owner is an impatient idiot, so that situation is kind of an outlier. (Another guy I’m glad isn’t our owner, btw)
What a dumb move! They currently have the #1 draft pick...why fire the coach now? Maybe they do get a moral victory or two and it costs them 5 draft slots. That squad is gutted though and it feels like a Tank for Tua situation. I watch Carolina a lot (my broadcast market & my son-in-law's favorite team). I personally don't know if they have their QB. Hard to say though because it's a Tannehill type situation where the QB is getting killed. That team has a lot of holes and I genuinely think they're the worst in the league this season. They need that #1 overall pick!
Gonna be damned hard for them to attract a good HC candidate when their QB is an undersized underachiever and they don't have a first-round pick...and very little talent to go around that tiny QB.
I agree, they made a critical mistake and they're going to pay for it for years. My son in law is a massive fan and I'm thinking about buying him tickets for the Jan 7th game against the Bucs. I don't necessarily want to go with him though, LOL.
Jeez, poor guy was probably getting fired as I was typing that post. I still think the owner is an idiot.
For those who are curious... If the Dolphins win their next three games (Redskins, Titans and Jets..all very feasible) and the Bills lose one of their next two (Chiefs and Cowboys...which a loss is feasable), The Dolphins win the AFC East! Then we're playing for seeding. Most playoff predictors, even picking the Dolphins to win out the season have the Dolphons ending the regular season as the number 2 seed. If would take key losses by Kansas City, Jacksonville and Baltimore for us to take the number 1 seed.
I feel like we're going to end up landing with the 3 seed. KC and Jax are going to be hard to pass with their soft schedules. Ravens have the toughest schedule and it's going to come down to whether we win that game in Baltimore. AFC Championship game will be Miami at KC. Wish it was colder 2.0
If the season ended today, we would be the number 4 seed. Chiefs v Colts Jags v Browns Dolphins v Steelers If the tops seeds were to win… Ravens v Dolphins Chiefs v Jags But still way too many games left with too many scenarios to think of final playoff card just yet.
This thread was started and continued because if Denver won, they would have beaten a winning team. Denver is no longer a winning team again. That's funny.
