That's awesome! Jerk fans are actually a pretty fun part of the game.

I remember going to the Hurricanes games as a kid and our section would always troll the other team's best player whenever he was on the bench. They'd talk mad crap all day long to the point where a lot of us were like, "Give the dude a break already." There was one guy in particular, he never shut up and spent the entire game yelling at one person...it was hysterical and sad at the same time. Much of the time though, that player would become so angry, he'd miss a play and everyone would cheer. It was this whole thing...entertainment amongst the entertainment. A few over the years even charged the stands to beat someone's butt and had to be stopped by police.

There was this one dude though, a linebacker for Boston College, they gave him hell all afternoon and he kept talking back. Huge black guy with speed that was very impressive for his size. Anyway, Miami won, the clock was ticking down to zeros, and he sprinted towards the stands and jumped right up. And I thought, ut-oh, he's going to jail after he beats that drunk guy's butt...but he held out his hand and shook hands with everyone in the front row, saying good game and good luck with the rest of the season.

I can't remember the player's name, but I never forgot that dude and his good sportsmanship.
