The Miami Dolphins come out of their bye week with the Las Vegas Raiders on the schedule for Week 11. A Sunday afternoon game back in South Florida, Miami is looking to bounce back after losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 9 in Germany. Even with that loss, the Dolphins are leading the AFC East and appear to be comfortably in the AFC playoff picture. In Week 10, the Raiders hosted Miami’s AFC East rivals, the New York Jets on Sunday Night Football. Neither team looked sharp during the game, but after a combined six field goals through the first four quarters, the Raiders were able to put up a touchdown in the fourth quarter. The Jets could only respond with a field goal, leading to a 16-12 Las Vegas victory. The oddsmakers have released their initial lines for next weekend’s game. According to the DraftKings Sportsbook opening lines, the Dolphins are 10-point favorites early in the week. The point total for the game is set at 47.5. Miami is -470 on the money line, while Las Vegas is +360.
The Raiders are going to come back down to earth after playing the two worst offenses back to back. This one isn't going to be close.
West coast team coming east for a 1pm game usually gives a big advantage to the east coast team (let’s ignore the 49ers Jags game yesterday ). Miami coming off a bye week with what looks like nearly everyone healthy, against a rookie QB, I don’t think this is going to be close. Expecting Miami to keep up the scoring frenzy at home.
I’m expecting another 350+ yard passing day from Tua with at least 4 TD Hill will surpass the 150 yard mark again this game. Achane will have a little rust but still expect him and Moestert to each put up 100 yard games each. 56-18 Miami.
Veteran tackle Kendall Lamm has been one of the most significant under-the-radar players of the Miami Dolphins‘ 2023 season. And with lingering injuries to their offensive line, there’s a chance that they’ll need Lamm to bail them out again — at a totally different position.Lamm will seemingly get work in practice this week at guard with Isaiah Wynn, Robert Hunt, and Robert Jones all hurt — although head coach Mike McDaniel doesn’t seem inclined at this point to play him there quite yet. Miami Dolphins Offensive Line Update All three guards were held out of practice Monday. Wynn might not play again this season, and Hunt (hamstring) and Jones (knee) are still “week-to-week,” per McDaniel — which is coach code for they’re longshots to play Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders. That would leave the Dolphins with Lester Cotton at left guard, Liam Eichenberg at right guard — and lots of questions behind them. It would leave them with just two healthy backups on the offensive line — Lamm and Kion Smith, another tackle. Practice squad options include Chasen Hines and Alama Uluave. Unless the Dolphins elevate one of those two ahead of Sunday’s game, Lamm would by default be the team’s emergency interior lineman. That would be a big change for Lamm, a career tackle with 35 career starts — including seven for Miami in the last two seasons. “Part of what he brings to the team is versatility,” McDaniel said. “Not every tackle can play both left and right. He does an exceptional job doing both for us. He does have that versatility to go inside, [and we might] exercise that versatility a little, or more and more, as the season progresses. “Now, because of the different types of things that you have to be prepared to do on game day with the different lineups, I wouldn’t expect to see him sooner than later at the guard spot. However, he will be training there. And you know, who knows? “The good news is he’s up for the challenge. He has really taken to the scheme since we got him mid-last year,” McDaniel added. “… I feel very confident with him playing in a spot. We will utilize his versatility to the extreme. This is something that you are not surprised by, but you have to be ready for all the different hoops that may or may not have to be jumped through.”
I cautiously agree with the optimism regarding this game, especially after watching some of the Jet v. Raiders game last night. I say cautiously because this is a Raiders team still riding high on a 2 game winning streak with what seems to be a pretty good interim coach leading the way. Despite the low score, at times they seemed to move the ball easily against a very good Jets defense. Miami also historically has a way of making rookie QBs look like seasoned veterans. Any given Sunday and all that, but yeah, Miami should win this one easily and they've done a good job this year taking care of business against teams they should beat.
I really want this to be Miami's "coming out party" since we're fielding most of the starting offense and defense together for the first time this year. We have 8 more games for this team to gel and catch fire before the playoffs, and this is where it all begins! And it has to be said- thank God the bye week is over! I know the team needed it, but good gosh...a Sunday without the Dolphins just isn't the same!
I mean, we lost by 7 in Germany to a top-3 team (and reigning super bowl champ). It would have been great if we won, but there were a lot of positives and we shut down KC in the 2nd half. Hopefully that transitions over to this coming week.
Only concern for this game is Crosby can be unblockable. Hopefully Armstead is 100% and our quick passing will negate his impact. Feels like this should be a pretty easy win but it is the nfl and you never know.
The season is half over. The way I’m looking at the rest as if we’re 0-0. Let’s see if Miami can go at least 6-2 for the second half of the season, win the division title and hopefully end up with that #1 seed.
OMG! Buffalo lost!!! Best bye week ever! Bills, Jets, Jacksonville, Ravens, Bengals all lose. Buffalo is overrated! Path becomes clearer for Dolphins to win the division, regardless of what the naysayers say LOLOL.
Seriously, after that game.. who really thinks the Bills are a threat? They play the Jets, @Philly, @KC, Dallas, @Chargers, NE, and at Miami. And the Jets simply have no offense. Unless we have a Tua injury or something like that, the division is ours.
I'm pretty sure if Miami sweeps the next five (against O'Connell, Wilson, Howell, Levis, Wilson) and Buffalo loses at least two of five (Jets, Chiefs, Eagles, Cowboys, Chargers), Miami clinches the AFC East before Christmas.
That was an epic game! Denver drives the field, has horrible clock management, doesn't kick the field goal when they should have, rushes the kicker out on the fly...only to have him miss it, only for Buffalo to have 12 men on the field. It was one of the crazier endings I've seen this year and what a great win for Denver! Buffalo completely blew it.

Bengals (5-4, No. 8): The margin for error is shrinking fast. 15. Colts (5-5, No. 20): No matter what else happens, beating the Patriots in a game that they viewed as a step below a Super Bowl can’t be taken away. 16. Bills (5-5, No. 12): The Jenga tower has fallen. 17. Chargers (4-5, No. 15): The buzzards are already circling for the chance to take over the team that has Justin Herbert. 18. Broncos (4-5, No. 23): That 70-point debacle in Miami feels like it happened 70 years ago. 20. Raiders (5-5, No. 25): Can it last? Probably not. But it’s fun to watch. 23. Jets (4-5, No. 19): Soon, any talk of Aaron Rodgers returning this year will be moot. 32. Patriots (2-8, No. 31): This is as bad as it’s ever been for the Patriots. That unit continues to fly around the field and keep the team in close proximity to its opponents. New York Jets (4-5) Last week: loss at Las Vegas, 16–12 Next week: at Buffalo I don’t think I can feel any worse for Zach Wilson who, bless his heart, is carrying the weight of a city on his shoulders. I do think he’s going to be a good NFL quarterback at some point when he’s a bit older. And man, there are some plays he made Sunday night that only a few people who walk this earth have the capability of doing. That said, I don’t know what else the Jets can do. Robert Saleh talked about schematic possibilities they have yet to try. But is there a point where you are wringing the poor kid out? At times, Wilson just looked mentally exhausted. That said, what a story it would be if he could break through this quarterbacking equivalent of a long writer’s block. ESPN 23. New York Jets (4-5) Week 10 ranking: 18 Biggest remaining game: Week 11 vs. Buffalo Look, when you’ve gone 11 straight quarters without a touchdown, the next game is the biggest game. QB Zach Wilson needs to get the offense into the end zone, pronto, or it could be curtains for him. It’s not all his fault, but something has to change if the drought continues, and the quickest fix is benching the quarterback. That it’s a division opponent makes the game more important. A third straight loss would all but kill the Jets’ faint playoff hopes. USA Today 20. Jets (18): They finally scored on their opening drive Sunday night … yet they also ran their touchdown drought to 36 consecutive drives. Per OptaSTATS, Zach Wilson is the first quarterback in league history to throw for at least 250 yards in successive weeks while failing to get his offense into the end zone even one time. It seems opinions about the Jets have them worse than average but not really terrible. Sounds about right. The defense will keep them from being awful. The offense will keep them from rising above mediocre.
Ever since Daboll left for the Giants, Allen has been on a downward spiral. Firing Dorsey isn’t the solution for sure. Dorsey’s not the one throwing those interceptions. Allen is, and who’s been electro interim OC? You guess it, Joe Brady, Allen’s QUARTERBACKS coach. Besides, how is it Dorsey’s fault the defense was in the field for 37 minutes of the game? Didn’t Buffalo’s DC adequately prepare agains the Broncos? Im LOVING this soap opera right now!
My mind almost can't comprehend who to root for in the Bills-Jets game since I want them both to lose by 50. So I guess I'm rooting on the refs and hoping it ends in a 3-3 tie. On a more serious note, I think we have to root for the Jets in this one...Buffalo doesn't need any momentum at this point since we don't want to face them in the playoffs. And we know the Jets can't win without Rodgers, I do feel bad for Zach Wilson since he clearly should not be the starter. But next Sunday, I hope he balls out and keeps Josh Allen pouting.
As long as they beat each other up it doesn't really matter. Buffalo has such a hard schedule ahead of them I'm not worried, and the Jets won't have Rodgers for our games, so we should beat them up.
*whispering* j-e-t-s Even if Buffalo does beat the Jets, there’s no way they survive the remainder of their schedule. They’ll win 3, maybe 4 more games…although we should ALL be hoping they somehow beat the Chiefs.
This should be a good game. I think we can beat them, but they won't give it to us. Jacobs has finally started to run the ball like he did last year and Devante Adams is always a dangerous player. Hopefully, we can get to their quarterback and shake him up (not in a an injury type of way), rattle him, throw him off his game from the go. I'd like to see the offense get going again. Tua needs a good game to start off the second half of the year. This is a very important game for us in terms of how serious we actually are about making a playoff run. If we lose this game or struggle to score 20 points, there's going to be cause for concern. This should by all accounts be a statement game for us and a big-time bounce-back win. First and foremost, let's not have any bad injuries on either team. With that being said, I hope we beat the crap out of them 38-10.
