Great news! Time for the defense to step up and hold good teams to the low 20's in points allowed, and bad teams to the teens.

Ramsey is now denying the report, but hasn't said he's not playing yet.

Jmo but Ramsey will be the most talented defensive player Ive seen in a dolphin uniform.

this is a superstar player in his prime..Its like tyreek hill for defense, not a passive player attacks from all angles.

I listened to today's press conference and coach said that he still wasn't sure about X or Ramsey. He did say that both looked good in practice but the team is still being cautious.

As eager as I am to see Ramsey on the field, I don’t want him out there until he is 100%. We’ll all be cussing the Dolphins out if he’s on the field too soon, gets re-injured and out for the season.

If he’s ready for Sunday, then he’s ready for Sunday. Would love it if he’s ready for the Chiefs, but if he isn’t then he isn’t.

Everyone needs to remember that even though Ramsey is so far ahead of schedule in his rehab, it’s not an automatic green light to him being READY.

Hopefully he plays in spots and not the entire game. Feels like the player is rushing it and we’re allowing it but not in the best interest for long term. Let him play a few snaps. And work back into it.

Ramsey effect being felt already. Had a forced fumble and big interception.

    I'd say he's 100%.

Jones tried him once and Ramsey picked him. That's pretty incredible.

And that’s why stats don’t tell the whole story. Just because he was on the right side doesn’t mean that he sucked in the game.

15 of 21 for 156 yards & 2 TDs targeting the middle and right thirds. Jalen Ramsey played at right cornerback.

    What am I missing?

    So Jalen limited him.

Offense and Defense face different directions. Remember which side of the room is on your right. Turn 180, and which side is to your right now?

Honestly, he didn't try Ramsey...he broke off his coverage because he saw Jones going for the short route. Ramsey sold it that the short route was uncovered, only to pounce and darn near run it back for a pick-6. The only fault was that he tried to hurdle the last defender (and the blocker) instead of cutting inside for the score. Nobody was going to catch him, LOL.

Awesome play and really looking forward to X being on the field opposite him next week. This is a completely different team with our full secondary out there and I can't wait to see it.

Yeah he attacked that zone alright, peeled off his man and triggered explosively into another quarter of the field

Great player that wants to play for a long time

When Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey hurt his knee this summer, there were reports that he’d be out of action until December but those proved to be incorrect. Ramsey was in the lineup for the Dolphins against the Patriots on Sunday and his debut for Miami was a winning one. Ramsey had an interception and the Dolphins rolled to a 31-17 win that leaves them with a 6-2 record as October comes to an end.

After the game, Ramsey was asked whether he took motivation from the chance to prove the initial timelines for his recovery wrong and his answer focused on what he proved to the Dolphins.

“I’ve got a core group of family, friends, and then my teammates, coaches and everybody who I do care what they’re going to think about me and how I handle my business and how I go about my days, game days, whatever it may be,” Ramsey said. “So it was more so about proving them right today. Like before the game I was just telling everybody, ‘yo, I’m going to be as advertised today, to y’all.’ Like Mike, I’m going to prove you right; like Chris, I’m going to prove you right today. Today is going to be one of those days for me where – that’s really what it was about. It wasn’t about proving somebody wrong, but I did that, too, huh.”

    More Insight Into Ramsey’s Recovery

While he’s been active on social media in the three months since his non-contact knee injury, postgame Sunday was the first time he spoke to reporters on the record since getting hurt. That gave him the opportunity to set the record straight on the exact nature of his meniscus injury, and how he beat even the most optimistic timelines.

“I was locking up Tyreek one day in practice, and I made a break, and I don’t know, my knee just popped or something, gave out,” Ramsey said. “I don’t know. It probably already was a little funky up in there anyway.

“Then — I don’t know, like — I did get it repaired,” he added. “People think, ‘Oh, he came back early because he got a trim.’ No, I had a full repair.

“But just the way my body reacted to the surgery and everything and the way the blood flowed and everything that I did, I don’t know, and everybody that helped me — like I said, they might do a case study. I really can’t tell you. I’m not a scientist. I’m not no doctor. I can’t tell you how it healed so quickly or what happened, but I’m just glad it did.”

The plan was to ease Ramsey back Sunday, but his knee responded well, which allowed him to again beat expectations, logging 47 snaps.

“Just extremely grateful, thankful. Like the stories will probably be like ‘Jalen Ramsey came back’ and ‘Jalen Ramsey beat these timelines’ and did all of that, but honestly, none of this would have been possible without Dr. [John] Uribe fixing my knee.

“They might have to do a case study on whatever he did to help it heal so quickly. The training staff, they did an amazing job. I had good days. I had bad days and everything in between. And the training staff, they never babied me. They pushed me. They were super smart with me, even when I didn’t want to be smart. Weight room staff, everybody, they really built in my mind like a perfect plan, and we just stuck to it. I just had to listen to them. That’s it.”

Star CB Jalen Ramsey was finally able to make his season debut after missing most of training camp and the entire preseason with an injury, and he showed no signs of rust whatsoever. However, even though he even logged an interception in his first game as a Dolphin, HC Mike McDaniel was ‘disappointed’ in the fact that he failed to take it all the way back to the uprights.

Following the win, McDaniel jokingly said that he was ‘totally disappointed’ in Ramsey because he said he would get a pick six, not a pick field goal (via Marcel Louis-Jacques).

Ramsey picked Mac Jones off shortly before halftime, setting up a Jason Sanders field goal to get a 17-7 lead before the break.

He looked as sharp as usual, and it’s an encouraging sign, considering the long layoff.

Already have significant investments in Phillips and Chubb. Plus Van Ginkel has played lights out. I’d love to see a S, LB or DT

I'm sure we'll inquire about Dalvin Cook today and we'll probably look at offensive linemen, just because they're always so pretty to look at (LoL). I'm personally still waiting for Miami to bring Tunsil home in an outlandish trade that makes the Texans look even more incompetent.

Ultimately, I don't think we make any splash moves today unless an acorn just happens to fall out of the tree. If there's value there, then grab it. If not, we're good to go!

An actual backup center would be really really nice to find today. I'd also maybe like to see us get some more CB depth or maybe a TE depending on how serious Smythe's injury is.

Pretty quiet so far, with Josh Dobbs and Sweat the only “big” names moving.

Saleh mentioned looking for OL help but said there’s not much out there because everyone is in the same boat.

Barring another injury, the D is getting healthy at the right time. As long as everybody can stay healthy this D is gonna be NASTY! This is the kind of D that can make waves in the playoffs. I'm trying to keep my expectations in check, but its getting harder every week that goes by.
