Torn, as I like seeing the Jets lose, but it does mean they are out of the race for a top 2 pick in the 2024 draft. Also, the 1972 team remains alone as the perfect team for yet another year. Eagles had a number of injuries too, so the game next week will be interesting. I can live with losing a close, contested game as Miami will be their best version later in the season when we get some people back from injury and if Claypool actually pans out.
Those stats don't take into account level of competition. Jets defense is legit. Even with their entire starting secondary out they shutout the Eagles for 3 quarters and beat them.
Broncos and NE are both 1-5. KC and Philly are 5-1. Then you have Buffalo and Dallas at 3-2. It's not that lopsided. It's hard to know what the level of competition really is this early in the season. Anyway, they have to earn the top 5 label on the scoreboard eventually.
Sorry for the late reply... Just got around to checking back in. We just walked a couple miles and had to wait 5 minutes for a $22 Uber pickup. I see what you're saying though. It looked like a zoo getting out. We had a blast. The stadium is amazing and the vibe is so cool.
Giants are up 3-0 on Bills. There's no possible way they steal this game, but I'm going to watch until it gets out of hand.
Buffalo lost to Jacksonville last week in London They’re losing to the Giants. Even if they pull out a victory, the be unable to move the ball against the Giants for this long makes the Bills suspect in my opinion.
It's poor play-calling offensively IMHO. They're running the ball at will, but they keep calling passing plays.
Man, I hope the Bills lose, not just because it'll be good for us but because it'll silence those people who won't stop touting Allen as one of the best QBs in the league.
I agree. I truly believe Allen is way overrated. Buffalo's success offensively significantly declined once Daboll left to be the Giants head coach.
Let's go G-Man. BS roughing the passer call to bail out Bills then get gets cleared from concussion after 2 plays.
I just pulled up last week's game... At this point in the game, we were up 17-7 on the Giants. The Bills can't even get a single point on the board.
That stoopid rush with 00:14 remaining is going to cost the Giants. And possibly us. Doesn't get much dumber than that.
I know it was probably Tyrod Taylor's fault but WTF would you even call a run-pass option in those circumstances?
If Daboll doesn't take the hit for that, I'll lose respect for him. Even if he expected Taylor to make the right decision between a smart play and one that's likely to fail in that situation, he should have given him a choice between two plays that are likely to succeed.
Unfortunately, they are a good team. Would have been a real danger if Rodgers doesn’t go down. They get pressure with just the front 4. Philadelphia has one of, if not the best OL in football and the Jets front were getting pressure on Hurts just with 4. We won’t be able to do that.
Clearly DPI on the final play, nearly pulled the jersey off of Waller. I think the refs just wanted to go home at that point. That ridiculous run at the end of the first half cost the Giants the game.
exactly my thoughts. Seems like the only time we do not score is when coach calls some stupid play or series of stupid plays.
