Spending almost 9 mil on Cook tells me the Jets don't think Hall is going to have a good year coming off that ACL. That and Rogers is a 1-2 year window. Not really worried about either Cook or Zeke going to the Pastriots.
Brandon Shell announced his retirement from football today. Early this offseason I thought Miami should have resigned him; in hindsight, glad that didn't happen. It's a shame it weakens the Bills’ OL depth. ;-)
Has the contract details been released yet? I heard it could be worth up to 9 mil with incentives he most likely will never reach. Also, Hall came off the PUP list today and practiced. I don't expect him to be 100% this year or at least until the later part of the schedule. But the Jets are a better team with Cook than without. That would be extremely hard to debate. And I certainly didn't want to see him on your team.
Incentives count for the cap regardless of realism. That's a heavy hit for the position. He might be a big piece for them. Or he might be another busted RB. I think he will be decent from a stats standpoint, but I don't think he is going to fuel them. If Rogers is the elite QB you hope he is, then Cook is a marginal upgrade to a position that won't be heavily featured. If Rogers is the schlub he was last year then your season is already over. I just don't care about Cook.
