The fact that you guys could'nt beat the patriots at your house, with Farve at the helm, and with Brady out, has to be very dissapointing for jet fans, if you could'nt close the deal then how are you gonna do it in the next five years when brady comes back....Real tough game man, i would be pissed if i was a jet fan, no execuses for that one.
There's a reason why the King picked up Matt Cassell off waivers this week, and that reason doesn't sit too well with the Bretts chances of gaining some divisional ground.
LOL, I saw the title of this thread and went "Who the hell is jumping on the Miami bandwagon now?" Thanks for the well wishes
If you want to beat the Patsies at home you need two things: 1. Get rid of Farve and sign A.J. Feeley at QB 2. Dump Mangini and hire Jim Bates as your Head Coach
That's right gish... How can Randy Moss possibly match up against Andre Goodman and win??? Oh, that's right, he just has to show up at the stadium.
I don't see us winning this game either, I'm going with 21-10. Some of my worries for this game is the secondary (still), Samson Satele going up against Vince Wilfork, Long against Seymour and our running game. I'm still not happy with Renaldo Hill getting the start instead of Jason Allen. Satele has a lot of trouble against heavy Tackles and Wilfork is just that. However, with Wilfork, I've noticed a few times that if you run directly at him, he struggles. Keep an eye on that when we run. I think the Seymour vs Long matchup is going to be something to watch for. Bertrand Berry gave Long some trouble, pushed him back a couple times into the pocket. Also wanted to note that Belicheck spoke highly of Jake Long. He said he was already a "good, solid Tackle" and would be one of the top ones in the game. He said he reminds him a lot of Jumbo Elliot.
Brady not being in this game doesn't make me as concerned about the secondary. Cassel didn't do anything last week to make me feel nervous going up against him this week. I think Seymour is vastly overrated JMO.
I still worry. Our secondary isn't very good and until it proves otherwise, I'm worried lol. I agree that Seymour is overrated but he can still make a play.
Sorry, I bet against our dolphins for the first time in my life. I don't see a single game the rest of the year we can win the way we are playing. No way we are competetive sunday. We will lose by at least 2 tDs.
I agree, Randy Moss still makes me nervous. I remember how easy he made it look last season. The secondary is not any better this year.
I think the Jets may be embarassed Monday Night. The Chargers will come out pumped up and mad after the last two weeks and the Jets will be the victims. Lehan has to start. Goodman has been awful so far and is good to give up a big play once a game. I can see Moss letting up after a few more weeks of Cassel underthrowing him and unable to throw the deep ball. Offense needs some major changes. With Cassel at quarterback it makes me feel a little more confident about the secondary and the deep ball to Moss isn't a huge concern with Cassel. I hear people talking about Seymour being a possible HOF and all I can do is
I hope we put on a good show at KC and St. Louis as I will be at both games. I was sure we would show some kind of improvement over last year, but we are statiscally worse.
thanks for your well-wishes Green Machine... but honestly if you guys couldn't beat the Pats, i'd highly doubt we even stand a chance. you are a much better team than we are, i fear we will fall even harder than you did. we don't have AJ Feeley or JT anymore.
Well, for some reason over the past few years, we always seem to play one real good game against the Pats. But this one could get ugly if we can't run the ball.
When (ancient) Henning was hired, I was afraid of this.....boring & old school, and a set up for failure.
The key will be pressure. If they can rattle him all day long like Miami did in Tom Brady's debut against us, there is a chance. No consistent pressure though and there is zero chance.
i would add Seattle to that list... they have no WRs, so they really can't burn us deep, which has obviously been our biggest weakness. ... and yes we play Seattle in November. i can't stress how much i agree with you... Henning has a tried & proven system for sure, but this team isn't built for it. instead of playing to this team's strengths and using personnel at what they are good at, he is just being stodgy and sticking to what he's used for the last 100 years. it's not working. play to your strengths. i would love to see us bring Linehan back as OC next year, Start Henne next year, and bring in some high-power WRs.
Seattle's secondary has been bad as well. I don't know why but they have given up a lot of big plays.
