Adams begging him to go to Raiders. Other players too. He's loved by his teammates. I don't understand that label at all.

See the the numbers in parentheses in the middle of the chart in the black columns? These represent the quarterback's accuracy ranking out of 33 quarterbacks. This is of two main areas of study for this section of The Deep Ball Project, the other will be Passer Rating, and that will have its own piece.

So how is Accuracy Percentage determined? Well, it takes all the accurate passes, caught or dropped, and rounds them out of how many attempts the quarterback throws. Throw that into the calculator, and you get your Accuracy Percentage.

Makes the fact that he had zero 300 yard games last year even more sad.

I call BS. How is Kenny Pickett 15 for 40, a 37% completion percentage, yet his accuracy is 57.5%? Maybe they're claiming 6 or 7 dropped passes to get that metric, but that sort of feels like rewriting history. It also jumps out that he threw for 433 yards on those 15 completions, or 28.8 yards a throw. Tua almost doubled that on 5 more attempts.

It is interesting to see Baker and Lamar in the bottom 5 though, and of course Mariota in dead last. It's great we've been linked to all three of these guys in free agency chatter this season.

Now the ones who stated " The Dolphins are not picking up Tua's 5th year, what's that tell you" ? , need to admit they were wrong.

Probally the best move they could make as this team is built to win now and noway they would offer him an extension.
My heart wants 40 tds AFC title but my head says he will miss 4 or 5 games like always.
They better get a decent backup or we will be same spot as last year.
The Lamar Jackson talk and Brady talk.will now be over with as I'm sick of hearing it
Let's move on to free agency.

About the laziest thing they could do, and expected. Dumb to re-work contracts for more cap space. Pretending they are in win now mode when they'll finish 3rd/4th in the division. The same mentality that led them to making that dumbass Chubb trade.

Who has stated that they would not pick it up? I've seen people say they think they shouldn't, and I've seen people argue that there was still time for it to happen.

Maybe I missed it, but I haven't seen people predicting that they would not pick it up.

I will have to disagree with you on the not ready to win now.We have a real D cord now and he will maximize the talent we have on D.If his track record stays true and this becomes a top 10 D and the offence doesn't take a step back this will be a hard team to beat.
In saying that I don't believe the QB can stay healthy for a full season and we will need a good backup to carry through.
What is going to matter is when Tua gets hurt.
I would also lying if I am not concerned about teams taking away the middle of the field and we had no answer so will see what happens there.

The Jets and Buffalo were top 3-5 defenses. Dolphins were 24th in points allowed. Even if they get better with Fangio, I doubt they make that kind of leap. So you have two teams in your division with better defenses and better QBs, and QBs that stay on the field (assuming Jets get Rodgers).

You aren't a win now team until you solidify your QB, and Tua played like dogshi* the last month of the season when the scheme was found out and got injured again with something career ending. Good backups start on other teams unless you draft a QB. Dolphins just locked themselves into mediocrity while drafting in the middle in desperate need of a QB the next 2 seasons.

Bills D will take a step back this year.We gained a D cord and they lost one Plus their safety and Lb Edwards is likely gone.
And we match up very well with Bills already
I am not scared of Rodgers either he isn't the same QB he was a couple of years ago.
Nothing we can do so let it play out.I for once think this going to be a good team.
And trust me anyone on here will tell u I never feel like that.

Daniel Jones cap hit in 2023-2024: $66m
Tua cap hit in 2023-2024: $32.7m

In the next two year Daniel Jones will have double the cap hit as Tua.

In the last two years Daniel Jones has thrown 25 touchdowns.
In 2023, Tua threw for 25 touchdowns.

I think the Dolphins got a two deal

Well...The reality is that Tua is going to be our quarterback. It's like that moment in Empire Strikes Back when Han Solo is about to be put into carbon freeze and Princess Leigha looks at him and says "I love you", and then Han says "I know." Suddenly it's WHOOOSH! He's encased in a highly pressurized interior solidified carbonite, that is then shipped off to Jabba The Hutts palace, despite the aggressive protests from a rather combative Chewbacca.
NOW... That moment.....That very moment...Darth Vader knew the reality of the situation...Han Solo and his daughter were going to give old Darth...A grandchild one day. That was the absolute true reality of that situation...Just like this one. TUA....Is going to be the quarterback for the Miami Dolphins....And YOU....Are an angry Darth Vader without the Jedi powers, stammering around furiously in a rented Star Destroyer, wearing a mustard stained Justin Herbert jersey.

Not angry in the slightest. Just not delusional. They thought this team was win now when they made the Chubb and Wilson trades. They were wrong, and lost a 1st and 5th over it. Now they are just doubling down. It's like a gambling addict that doesn't know when to cut their losses and walk away from the table.

I agree with the win now mode and a late rd first rd pick can be overrated.Grier should have went after Roquan Smith over Chubb. The Ravens got a better player at a less cost. And he definitely fills a need.

Not to be that guy, but you were going hard on thr "Let's get Brady/Rogers" train while ignoring the fact that they're on the decline. Certainly you can see how that can be described as illogical.

Nobody other than the Jets wants Rodgers. Could any serious person truly believe the Jets are smarter than everyone else?
