He ****ing sucks. But check out my lastest reply.
This goes to show how blind we were to all the big plays we had this year but did not translate to points.
And we will add the 2014 Joe philbin dolphins averaged slightly higher points per game also.

What about last year when the offense never looked good? Also look at the offense only. Don't forget how often the defense would score.

2020 is filled with games where the defense scored or the offense put up points because they were down by 30 and had to throw 50 times in garbage time.

To me, this speaks to the conundrum of Tua. Games he didn’t play or left, we averaged 17.2 points per game. They average 26.4 when he’s healthy. He’s got one of the best QBR in the nfl this year but hasn’t played a full season since his junior year in college. Your best ability is your availability.

Yep.Not going to go very far when your Qb is going to miss 4-5 games a year.If we had Herbert we would have been a real threat to the Bills especialy with these wrs.

Grier was amazing at getting the picks I will give him that but how can someone be that bad at drafting with all those picks?
I can only dream if we picked Herbert,Jefferson. But no we took the small, slow injury prone Qb and reached for a below average tackle.
Jefferson alone would had us not need to trade up for Waddle who knows where else we could have upgraded and Waddle might have still been there anyway.Worst case we would grabbed Smith. No need to trade for Hill either.
    That draft destroyed the rebuild!

Totally agree here. If McDaniel makes it past black Monday he's got one year more at most. Then he'll crawl back to SF to ride Shannahan's coat tails again. Everyone keeps blaming Tua being out for the collapse but Tua was in every game except the NE game yesterday. Armstead, Howard, Chubb, Tua were all playing through the collapse so let's all stop making injuries the excuse. It's bad coaching plain and simple. And yea running game guru my ***. He even plucked two RBs from SF and it didn't help.

How do you hold it against McDaniel that Tua played through a concussion and his play fell all a cliff? Or hold it against the offense the week before that where they scored 29 in terrible weather and lost?

Yeah, just imagine had we stayed put at 10 in 2021 and drafted Parsons, Slater, Darrisaw or even AVT and still had that extra pick. With Parsons, we’d have a good defense, wouldnt need to trade for Chubbs who at this point hasn’t earned his big contract.

This is how bad decisions keep compounding. Make mistakes, make more mistakes to cover up those mistakes and then you have the 20 year drought the dolphins have had. HC’s have changed and one man has been constant over that time, time for him to go.

Agreed, Boyer chopped this team down from the knees all season long!

Imagine if we signed Wink Martindale in the off-season…. Like the Giants did to support their new offensive minded head coach?

We would be sitting on atleast 10 or 11 wins right now.

Has McDaniel struggled at times ? Of course.
But he has also had the offense absolutely humming with the best in the league for stretches too.
Something we haven’t seen for 25+ years.

Get him a strong, high paid DC and see what he can do next year.

Tua played mostly during the weak part our schedule which is where he padded his stats. When he played playoff caliber teams he mostly played poorly. If he had played the whole season his numbers would not have been as high.

The Tua lovers love bringing up his qb rating. That means nothing. I can see with my eyes that he is not that good.

Yea man I forgot Parsons went in that draft.
He deserves that type of money we paid for Chubb who is far from a game changer.

Not sure it was the competition. The Packers D sucked and so did the chargers. This offence was fiqured out starting with the charges. They took away Tuas strength and they had no answer for it.

That did seem like a real concern at the time but its hard to really think that when they score 29 the next week and 20 in the first half the week after that.

With a concussed QB. I don't think you can throw that in to the figured out pile fairly. It all boils down to mostly good with healthy Tua and a disaster otherwise.

Dude it's one injury or another with this guy.U are delusional to think he will ever play a full season.
He didn't t in college and has missed time all 3 years here.If that is not injury prone u tell me what is.
Not to mention a couple of more concussions and he is done.

People talking about Grier this, Ross that, Tua ... whatever. Saying Flores had a raw deal (??? Absolutely trash level coach).

Who even cares? They are just the latest names in the revolving door of futility that is this dumpster fire of a franchise. TBH we haven't been worth a cow's droppings since Marino's rookie season.

The only thing keeping us from being the absolute worst franchise in football (sports?) is the Houston MotherEffing Texans. And if Bryce Young is any good and they hire a good coach, that might change too.

It feels pointless yapping about anyone currently on or not on this team. About changes or anything. It's all just trash and has been for basically my entire 40 year lifespan. I again question WHY should I care? And I can't really think of a good reason. I'm not a perpetual downer, hater or anything. I'm always happy to look at the bright side/silver lining even during down years, always happy to throw in my .02c about changes we should or shouldn't make.

But this season has just about killed it. I haven't given bull about this bull since that LA disaster of a game. And each loss is just another nail in seeing anything I care about this franchise destroyed. I don't care about the Jets game. I don't see myself caring about a playoff game (beatdown?) if we manage to back in by winning against Mike White (speaking of which ... are we and the Jets basically the same team for the past half-century?) and I don't really care about FA or the draft or the offseason or schedule release or anything. I hope Tua retires just to mess with things. I hope Hill demands out. I don't care.

This team (both literal current version and historical) finally destroyed my will to care about them.

You are moving goal posts. We weren't talking about whether Tua was great or can stay healthy or should have been the pick. We were talking about whether the offense was good or whether they were figured out.

I think I found my way of how I’m going to handle my Dolphins in the future. I won’t have any expectations for them, like none, zero. Just like in Flores first season, we haven’t done anything for almost 30 years, I better get used to it…

Pointless winning streak ruined that dream for me.

That's is answer?Tua has had more chances being same division.
I'll take the guy that has 92 Tds compared to 52 and who will be playing at least one playoff game compared to zero. And who's career is not in doubt.

You asked me a question…”seriously”, I answered your question and you want to reply in a belittling manner?

If you ask someone a sincere question, then have the common human decency to at least RESPECT that person’s response, whether you agree or not. Otherwise, don’t ask the question to begin with

I don't think it's fool's gold, but I do believe that you have to take both the good and the bad as reality.

For the moment, I'm willing to say Tua's recent bad games were concussion-related. I'd happily give him another year to show us if he can remain healthy and consistent. At this point though, it's more Tua's decision than anything.
