He is Dead Man Walking and doesn't know it yet.
Being hitched to Ross and Grier is a Career DEATH SENTENCE.
ESPECIALLY with the Loss of draft picks and Cap Hell hanging over the next 2+ years.
This team's Ceiling is capped at .500 or worse for the forseeable future and there is NO FUTURE WITH CHRIS GRIER. NONE.

All McD can do is waste the next two seasons with failure and he will Reek with the Stink of Failure for YEARS.

He needs to GTFO and go back to an assistant job somewhere, even a significant step-down from his 49ers job. He can work his way back over the next 3 years to be in the head-coaching mix again.
He took a chance taking this job...and it was a very stupid choice.
Dolphins Inc is a Flaming Trash Heap and it's Career Death. Every player and coach in the building is getting a paycheck...AND NOTHING ELSE. Players are losing years of their career in this wasteland.
Fans really should TOTALLY BOYCOTT until Ross and everyone is Gone.

With Ross and Grier, there is ONLY DEATH. Death of Hope, Death of Pride, Death of Integrity, etc.
This brand is Stained So Badly it should maybe even be Non-Existent for a few years and restarted with everything all new in 5 years.

He would look bad if he quit because they don't make the play offs.As far as getting another shot I'm sure he would still find another team interested if he was fired but it may work against him if he chose to leave after one season.

Would be a stupid career move if he resigns. It's not like there are all kinds of HC jobs waiting for him, and he'd look like a quitter if he did so. McD needs to prove he's a good coach by getting us into the playoffs. There are no excuses. Grier is not an excuse. This team, if properly coached, can make the playoffs.

They should trade him and Tua for seven first round draft picks.

No, its his first season and hes done well with it. He needs to be allowed to get his own defensive coordinator and his own quarterback. If he ties his career with Tua, he will be fired by end of next season

This is ridiculous. Just ridiculous. Wherever you came from was where you belong. Yes, that's how ridiculous this is.

He won't need to resign because he'll be fired and replaced with a real head coach named Sean Payton. He'll be back to sucking on Kyle Shannahan's tete next season where he belongs.

I don’t see any reason he should resign. Don’t think that would be a good career move. It’s clear he needs to evolve and grow as a HC. Let’s not forget he’s 15 games into his tenure. We have a very young team and hopefully with more time in the system, we improve.

If we can improve our OL this off-season and actually build a good run game, which is supposed to be his specialty, it will be interesting to see our offense evolve.

This is approaching "Move Zach Thomas to strong safety" levels of irrationality.

He won't resign and he won't be fired. McDaniel has done great this season with a banged up QB who everyone said was a bust...yet led the league in passer rating.

Some of you really need to stop living in the moment so much with these knee-jerk reactions.
