On another note, Jets and NE losing means our playoff chances just went WAY up. If we win against GB tomorrow we'd be 2 games ahead of the next best team for the last playoff spot.

Miami clinches with wins vs Green Bay and New England. Week 18 could be a rest game.

OK that's the kind of performance by Tua where he deserves all the crap you can throw at him. Choker: 3 INT's in crucial situations.

NE and Jets games are now essentially must-win (not sure mathematically, but they basically are).

Right now it's looking like you're more right than wrong. Still some games left to play, but today was inexcusable.

What a difference first and second half. I had so much hope with the last drive. We needed that so bad and he just choked. That might be his first 3 consecutive drives with an int, and dear god let's hope it's a last. Cant have that esp in dec. They lost they whole damn month of dec. You cant get into the playoffs and drop dec....merry Christmas all...this just crushed my day

Chargers aren't really a SB contender, and we have a pathetic defense and ST. You'd need a QB like Mahomes to talk SB with this team, and even then the defense would probably lead to a playoff exit.

Tua is not the answer but we will probably have to go with him or a veteran free agent for next season.

I'd like to see about 20 other starters in the league on this team with these weapons over Tua.

Agreed. The Dolphins would have a bright future with Herbert even though the defense needs work.

As it stands, you don't have any 1st rounders, you don't have a QB which is the most important position on the field by FAR, and you need to improve in a number of other areas on the defense. Without a ton of cap space or picks I don't get what this team is moving forward but mediocre. Probably not bad enough to pick at the top of drafts. This is hell. Tannehill era HELL. And I knew this was going to happen again with Tua. Grier needs to lose his job so badly.

I think it’s very telling that 2/3 of the vote(players and coaches) didn’t vote him in. Now he could very well be the 4th or 5th best QB in the NFL but clearly they weren’t buying the stats over other QB’s in the AFC.

The worst thing about Tua is that even he thinks he's a fraud. He flat-loses confidence and I, 100%, believe THIS is why Flores freaked out and why things went south. Tua was having practices like this 2nd half frequently.

Really starting to feel like Grier and Ross just gaslit Flores into insanity. Looking at an absolute Diety of QB flesh staring us in the face and saying "nah, give me the short, weaker-armed kid with the embarrasingly low Wunderlic score who's coming off a near career-ending injury!"
    SERIOUSLY?!? WTF was that decision?!?
    It's INSANE!
Then, day after day at practice,,Tua mixed some good plays together with "WTF are you Doing?!?" Plays. I remember August 2020.
Here we were blaming the WRs and using the injury excuse and yadda yadda...

Tua is a Goddamn Mental Midget!

Tua is reminding me of Daniel Jones.

This stretch has been an absolute disaster and it frankly feels like we are back to square one. I don't know what screwed him up but since San Fran he has mostly been a dumpster fire.

What screws up Tua is that he easily loses confidence during games and **** snowballs. That's childish and unprofessional.
Tua is a mental midget, period. Not very bright And lacks confidence.

Problem is, that was the exception in the midst of a string of bad losses. The evidence tells us that the league has figured out the Dolphin's offense and what Tua CAN and CANNOT do. McDaniel may have tried to tweak things, but you have to work around the limitations that Tua has, but that may not be possible.

Not entirely but yes. His genius play calling has been figured out. On the last pick Tua threw the defender was headed there before Tua was even set to throw. Defenders know what they're doing. And any time he gets to his third read Tua is swarmed with defenders. He has no choice but to go with his first read.
