I got that once from getting armbared in Judo, I was fine in 3 weeks. Depends on what degree sprain it is. If it's grade one or two he'll be fine in a couple weeks without surgery, will have to rest his arm though. If it's a grade 3 complete tear he will be out a while, might even need surgery. From the looks of it I don't think it's a complete tear or else he wouldn't have been able to throw it 70 air yards on the last play of the game.
I saw him shake his hands twice. The NFL better step in and fire their doctor for allowing him continue. NFL better make him sit 2-3 weeks before they get another black eye. /s
He asked, hopefully. It would be interesting if the Bills had to play without him for 2-3 weeks. Or if he plays slightly injured the rest of the season. The division might come down to the final week.
Bigger than this injury is the Bills losing to the Jets and Allen not playing well since the 2nd half of the GB game. Bills play the 7-1 Vikings next, and if they somehow lose that game, it means teams are figuring them out. Also.. when is Philly going to lose? I'd hate for them to sneak up on the '72 Dolphins. They have a few tough games left but not many.
I hope Allen is okay and gets back in the huddle sooner (rather than later). I hate to see anyone get hurt.
I still train BJJ 3-4 times a week, and I can't even play a decent game of darts anymore my elbow has been popped so many times.
You're probably right, but sometimes the next day is when the pain really sets in for these types of injuries. I've been injured with armbars too, and been able to return to the mats that night only to barely be able to move my arm the next day.
Barring an upset somewhere, it’s pretty much up to the Cowboys. Giants…maybe, although I wouldn’t bet on it. Easiest schedule in the league, which helps for now, but might be a liability in the playoffs.
I want us to win against the best, not because someone is out or injured. However, no one another team cried when Tua was hurt.
Nice, my gym is affiliated with Caique. Started training at 42(3 years ago) but have done various martial arts for over a decade. BJJ has been by far the most addictive martial art.
Addictive is a great way to describe it! I just hit the 5 year mark. Started at 38, still going strong at 43. In better shape now at 43 than I was at 33 because of BJJ.
Same, it exposes a lot of weakness mental or physical, it’s almost the perfect self improvement system. Especially from the standpoint if you just keep at it, you’ll progress, get stronger, better and watch as droves of people quit along the way.
Allen listed as”day to day”: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/34986518/bills-qb-josh-allen-elbow-day-day-see-plays
Officially, Bills quarterback Josh Allen’s availability for Sunday against the Vikings is up in the air. If that were truly the case, however, the Vikings-Bills game likely would be off the board at every sports book. Instead, the game is available for wagering. With a line that has sharply moved toward the visiting team. It opened as high as the Bills giving 9.5 points. It’s now down to Buffalo minus-3.5 at FanDuel, and the Bills are favored by four at DraftKings. So what does that mean? It likely means that the sports books currently don’t expect Allen to play, and that they expect Case Keenum to get the nod against one of his various former teams. Coach Sean McDermott said Wednesday that Allen is day-to-day. If it turns out that Allen does play, today’s the day to lock in a bet on Buffalo.
