. Interesting stat on Phillips. Feels like he has been stonewalled this season, but underlying stats say he IS generating pressure. With Ogbah getting healthier and Chubb now in the mix. The four man edge rush of Phillips, Chubb, Ogbah and Ingram should be a terror !
Given our penchant for giving up catastrophic gash plays, I sure hope we have a spy on Fields. The Ravens game would have been a rout if not for two inexcusable missed assignments. Fields isn't the runner or thrower that Jackson is by a long shot, but they're going to move him out of the pocket and give him the green light to run at will. Keep him behind the line of scrimmage and it should be easier to control their offense.
Watching him on the field he is close a lot of the time while he also has made the quarterback uncomfortable a few plays. I would love to see more sacks but he is playing well.
Fields is very mobile, and also has a solid release. I hope that we get to him this week, as it would help a lot. But the next week, vs the Browns, I really hope to see our pass rush shine. Brissett is slow as molasses, with both his feet and his release. Hopefully we can take an early lead and then just pass rush him relentlessly all game long. It would be beautiful.
I haven't looked at the stats but the Browns OL looked very good against the Bengals. Brissett had a lot of time to throw.
