He had a field goal try, went for it on fourth and goal, lamar throws a INT.. buffalo marches down the field.. wins 23-20.. pathetic..
Not kicking the field goal is the most baffling decision of the season so far. Even worse than that Denver field goal try.
Watching panthers and cardinals, two “analytics” play call.. panthers went for it on 4 and 1 on their side of the field early, didnt convert. Cardinals go for it on 4th and 1 in the red zone, didnt convert.. just throwing away points because of so called analytics lol
Uh-oh! Looks like Nyheim Hines just had a gross neurological event. He's out for the game, whether that's what happened or not.
The Colts and Broncos are just horrendous. Matt Ryan looks finished. Wilson looks like he doesn't care. Broncos fan are booing their own team.
Of the seven QBs who changed teams this off-season, it could be argued that Marcus Mariota has been the most impactful thus far - bet no one called that, lol. Wilson - dud Ryan - dud Wentz - dud Mayfield - dud Watson - suspended Trubisky - dud Mariota - has Falcons playing for first place
Lots of bronco fans leaving the game even tho its 9-9 headed to overtime.. theyve been bored the whole game just bad quality football, dead crowd
Tom Brady said it. A lot of poor-quality football being played. Not to mention buttloads of injuries. They need to expand the rosters.
Between two preseason playoff picks, no less. Kirk and Al were trying (and sometimes failing) not to mock the putrid offensive performance they were watching, and then lamenting next week’s matchup, Chicago and Washington. I actually stayed up to watch the end of that game. Why, I have no idea.
If the bengals are going to entertain making it big, taking the next step. they need to figure out that offense. Zac taylor does not have the scheme for those players. That offense has too much playmakers for them to be this flat all the time. No team is going to score 30 a game but i just dont see a rhythm or a go to scheme that they can rely on. Seems like theyre still trying new things and getting away with it because chase mixon and burrow are that talented. we should be seeing an offense similar to peytons colts with that kind of talent. i think zac can stay as head coach but he needs to bring a playcaller.
Random thought, if im Baker Mayfield, don’t let ego get in the way of making a comfortable living in the NFL. Ask Chase Daniels, Chad Henne.. chad has made about 40 million since being drafted by us and he is still in the league. There is good money to be made still.. but youre definitely not a franchise quarterback, so its time to mature and take a step behind the clipboard.
These refs and roughing calls are out of control. Absolutely absurd between the Allen one last week, then the Brady and just now the David Carr. Each worse than the last. And yet, our QB gets whiplashed to the ground and concussed ... nothing. Except that an overzealous "spotter" then takes our backup out of the next game like 2 plays in. Absolute nonsense.
Can someone explain to me why when the Dolphins play NFC teams (such as the Vikings today) at home, the games are on Fox? I've never understood that haha.
The Cowboys did what we hoped and failed to do - win games against vulnerable/bad teams via defense and running the ball and just hoping the inferior QB didn't turn the ball over. But Rush lacks the gear needed to elevate his game and team against high level competition or when the defense or running game can't prop him up. Dak has nothing to worry about imo.
Fox has the NFC, CBS has the AFC. The road team determines which network carries the game. Why they set it up like that instead of the home team determining which network shows the game, I don’t know.
CMac to the Niners for multiple picks. If he stays healthy, not good news for our pick: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...r-rb-in-blockbuster-for-multiple-draft-picks/
Breece Hall out for season with torn ACL. Matt Ryan benched for Sam Ehlinger “for the rest of the season”, according to Frank Reich.
Happy for Zappe and i know a certain Hilltopper fan on this board is as well. Mac Jones has officially lost his job. Belichick does not play any games, doesnt care where you were drafted or how much money you make. He plays the guys that give him the best chance to win and that offense is different with Zappe. He sees the field differently and has much better ball placement than Jones. Doesnt surprise me he was a machine in college.
I refer to them as the other Hilltoppers, because the small university in my hometown uses that nickname also.
Torn between the enjoyment of watching Brady lose, and being okay with the Ravens taking another loss and keeping them from grabbing a playoff spot in the AFC. Ravens looks really sluggish so far, and the Bucs seem intent on turning their season around.
Football is a violent game. Taunting leads to revenge shots. Some players when taking revenge shots will try to deliberately injure, as opposed to hurt or embarrass, the opponent. Coaches are much more invested in stopping penalties that have down and distance implications than financial implications. Making taunting a fine only offense will lead to more cheap shots and more injuries.
Oof, lots of cupcakes on that schedule. Giants and Cowpokes have probably best chance to knock them off. If the Iggles have an off day Pitt, Colts, GB, and Titans have a chance as well. I could easily see them ending the season with only two or three loses.
