First class and tough as nails. If they let him, I guarantee he would play next Sunday against the Jets. I say they give him the week and he is back against Minnesota. Let's go, Tua!!!
Without knowing what the injury was, I wouldn't say I want to see him with only a week off. If it was just a bad concussion, I wouldn't be surprised if he's out for at least two weeks. We still don't have any more info than that it was a head and neck injury, do we?
I hope he takes longer. Take no chances. I just cannot believe in Teddy, and doubt Skylar gets much of a chance.
Skylar is not getting a chance. If they were 0-4, maybe. I can't believe the concussion is that serious is that he was released from the hospital in an hour and made the flight home, seemingly as McDaniel said, his normal self. There are guys playing right now that have had two concussions this season. See Tee Higgins, he missed a game early in the year with a concussion and was absolutely crushed helmet to helmet last week against the Jets, no concussion. Right. He looked pretty good last night.
I'd say we give him two weeks off and he comes back after that. We can win in the short term with Bridgewater. I actually liked what I saw out of him last night up until he threw the pick on what would have been a game winning drive for us.
Listen, whatever happened, ****ed his has up while it was happening. That's something that Larry Fitzgerald, Tiny Gonzales, and Ryan Fitzpatrick all said they had never seen. I'm glad he seems to be doing fine, but I have a ton of questions. I honestly fear seeing the dude get paralyzed the next time he gets a big hit.
Fitzpatrick said he felt woozy many times in a game, they took him out and he was back a few plays later. Same with Whitworth. Enough with the "paralyzation" dramatics.
It doesn't matter what the facts are, just the optics. Neither the NFL nor the Dolphins is going to let Tua back in for some time after the optics of what happened. He's gone a minimum of 4-6 games IMHO and they'll probably put him on IR.
A doctor's medical opinion matters more than some guy on a couch. As long as he is cleared by a doctor he will be on the field as soon as possible. That's it, no ifs ands or buts.
Yeah, two weeks after suffering a concussion he almost gets his head knocked off. Where's the investigation? He played the next week. It's a joke. Tua is already itching to get back on the field, as soon as a doctor clears him, he will be the starting quarterback. It will be sooner than you think.

Higgins got cold cocked on Sunday and starred in the game last night. Four days later, just like Tua. The NFLPA isn't investigating. And Rich Eisen, Shannon Sharpe, Stephen A. Smith, Ryen Russillo, Skip Bayless, Mike Florio, and every other talking mouth out there who's suggesting we did something wrong don't give a ****.
Fitzpatrick was almost in tears on the broadcast. Him, Gonzales, and Fitzgerald ALL unequivocally stated they had never seen anything like that. Stop minimizing.
So I don't see his hands and fingers trying to dislocate, like he's having a Grand Mal seizure. It's like you guys are ignoring what you saw. He was taken off ON A STRETCHER. We've all seen guys get concussions. Never looked like that. You guys are crazy to minimize this, and this has nothing to do with my thoughts about Tua as a QB.
It's wishful thinking and I understand it. Tua being out for likely most of the season means our playoff chances are practically nil. I WISH I could retreat into denial about this because honestly I am about ready to give up on watching football. Period. I've been watching this team since I was in first grade, almost 50 years, and the last time we made the SB, I was 18 freaking years old. Barely. The last time we made the AFC Championship game, I was in my early 20s. The last time we won a playoff game, my 19-year-old daughter wasn't even born. The last time we MADE the playoffs, she was in middle school. The last time we had a dynamic offense was nearly 20 years ago. This year, we pull a bunch of talent together under a young and innovative coach...and then our team gets embarrassed by multiple scandals and loses a first round draft pick. And then our QB goes down for likely the year. I don't know how much of this crap I can take.

We're not talking about last night's game. We're talking about Sunday's game against the Jests. Higgins was knocked out on Sunday. Tua had his questionable concussion on Sunday. Tua returned to controversy. Higgins didn't. Tua's return last night was questioned (in hindsight). Higgins' return wasn't even an afterthought because his initial incident wasn't thought about. It's not complicated. Unless your whole MO is to obfuscate and pretend you're not smart enough to figure it out on your own.
Such an ignorant post. Nobody's suggesting a concussion is nothing more than a headache and you know it. The question is whether Tua sustained a concussion on Sunday and was (a) allowed to return with a head injury and (b) played last night with a known head injury. Find one post that equates last night with a headache and I'll apologize for suggesting you're intentionally trying to kick up dust.
Ummmm.... I've been talking the entire time about Thursday. I don't give a **** about the Sunday before. Tua had something different from a concussion. That's my point. Thursday night was bad, not something you just ignore after a week of rest. Leaky no one talking about Tua being done is talking about anything OTHER THAN what happened on Thursday. The potential of a concussion from the Sunday before being hidden is a separate argument.
I'm fine with taking the long approach with Tua. No way he should play against the Jets. Concessions don't require hospitalization if there are no structural issues like bleeding, or swelling. I believe that the issues are with blood flow and not a lot is known for sure. One thing that is proven is shorter time between blows is means a higher likely hood of more serious issues. Given that why play him against the vikes either? I'm hoping he gets a clean bill of health and sits anyway. And, what other teams do with their injuries doesn't really matter to me. Error on the side of caution. Long term goals with Tua.
What happened then, doctor? I think you should try to get in contact with the independent neurologist, Dolphins medical staff and the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and give them the actual diagnosis. Imagine being this ignorant and stupid. lol
I think it's a fair statement to say that we all want Tua to play. We've seen things out of him this season that we've not seen in his previous 2 seasons...and he's shown he can indeed be that franchise quarterback everyone's been wanting. I think its also a fair statement to say that we don't want to see hm get hurt either. Seeing Tagovailoa's fingers going all crooked in what looked like a bit of a seizure (at least in my untrained eye) was quite the scary moment. Tua either had or is scheduled to have an MRI and I guarantee you he's receiving the finest medical care that money can buy. I'm quite certain he's going to be run through a gambit of tests. As I said earlier, no two concussions are alike therefore, there is no set time frame for recovery and clearance. Everyone needs to settle down on all of the hyperbole. None of us are neurologists. Tua may have suffered a severe brain injury. Tua may have just had his bell rung. We don't know. I know we all hope he is medically cleared as soon as possible so he can play, but I think I can say that none of us want him to be cleared too soon either, risking possible injury again. How soon is too soon? I don't know...and neither do any of you. So everyone just sit back, take a chill pill, relax and let the medical professionals do their job...and say a prayer for one of our beloved Dolphins.
I think it’s sad that the Tua haters immediately lined up saying it’s season ending. It’s almost like they hate the kid so much they want him out at all costs. I just don’t hit it. I know the Tua lovers were so entrenched in their position the “other side” is just pathetic.

No. It’s some of you who actually don’t give a crap about Tua and want him to play despite the extreme risks to his health and well being. You want to ignore what is happening, ignore the risks in the hopes that your terrible evals of the position were correct. That is totally lame.
You're not a doctor or his father. The kid already said he doesn't want to miss any games. When he is medically cleared, shortly, who the hell are you to say what the extreme risks are to his body. You don't know anything.
When you read some posts on here you definitely can get that feeling. When you see what's going on in mainstream media one can just shake its head, pathetic everywhere...
