Just think about how quick this offense would be turned around ok and in order to get Anderson we have to give up a 1st and 3rd right so we trade our second pick just one or two spots higher and bam give them a low 1st and mybe trade jt for a 3rd or someone else. It might be harder to get chad though but seriously who wouldnt want a 6'6 strong arm quaterback that is 24 i mean our rookie is 26 haha. Does anyone think this is possible to get one of them mybe both?

I am against trading any draft picks higher than 6th round for Anderson. Why must we keep trading away picks for players? It didn't work the last 5 years, why would it work now?

I think we need Chad Johnson but we could draft Colt Brennan, or Andre' Woodson with the 32nd pick but i dont think we need Anderson

We need to stop the run and a better passrush and not a guy who can't stop running his mouth and a guy who hasn't seen a passrush all season.

This is my opinion of course, but don't count on Brennan being a good pro QB. It's not going to happen.

We need Derek Anderson & Chad Johnson like we need prefrontal lobe lobotomies

Our Qb's had one thing in common this season, seeing plenty of skyline as they were being hit by opposing Defensive players...

We may need a few guys to block and stuff..maybe...?

I think the possibility of a trade is slim. Though Anderson played out of his mind and is young. Anderson is more proven than any Qb in the draft and is young. I doubt Cleveland trades him right now because he saved Crennel's job.

Trading away draft picks for guys who are bums or liabilities due to injury and trading for a guy who can play is different. Anderson's numbers probably are inflated because of Edwards and Colonel Winslow. Though the Browns were competing for a playoff spot I think largely because of the switch from Frye to Anderson.

Derek Anderson is a one-hit wonder. You want to see the real Derek Anderson? Watch him in the second Bengals game. Cleveland will trade him to some idiot team, start Brady Quinn, and laugh all the way to the bank.

Chad Johnson simply does not fit in with the views of Cameron and Parcells in terms of players with character. I doubt very much he fits in this offense anyway. He's a deep threat: we drafted Ginn to do just that. It's a shame he's a me-first player, because he otherwise seems like a decent guy and I'd love to see him in aqua and orange.

How about watching all the other games he has played in this season, he is not a one hit wonder I believe he is the real deal and one game shouldn't determine if he will be successful or unsuccessful in this league. He is basically a rookie and should have made the Pro Bowl I want him on the Fins if possible.

Padre, its seldom that I agree with you, but you are spot on here. Let's get some mean and nasty blocker and stuff guys. And the ones that tackle guys before they run 56 yards. Good post.

No way he becomes a fin. There is no reasonable scenario that could get him in Miami. The asking price would be WAY too high for him. Unless something miraculous happens - like the Browns taking a late round pick for him, you should go ahead and scratch Anderson off your wish list.

Also, you have to be careful with QBs. Some QBs look good in one system but flop in another. Anderson's success this season would guarantee nothing if he were to change teams.

Why thank you, this one is a no brainer though so it is pretty easy to agree on.

I would love to see a LT emerge that was worth the #1 pick, or one slide to #32, or a new young and athletic Linebacking corps? Or two new Dlineman (DT/DE types) at 32 and #55?

Sunday's roasting of our Db's is enough to convince me we need secondary help as well, it was "Toro" out there on Sunday....

Next year I can see Porter, Wright and the two Allens as the only guys who come back for us in 2008 on the "D" that's 7 guys just on "D"...plus a Guard, a Tackle...:confused2:

    Ehh enough reasonableness bring on:

    Ocho Cinco and Darren McFadden?

Watch the rest of his games and you'll see a QB who lacks all the tools. The Bengals game simply put his weaknesses on display. Don't be fooled by the stats. Watch him. He is not a great QB, nor will he be one.

Brilliant attempt at using irrelevant material to counter an argument. Good thing you defeated yourself by mentioning Owens.

Guess which football coach did not want Terrell Owens on his team? You guessed it, Bill Parcells. Guess which Executive Vice President of Football Operations specifically stated he does not want "thugs and hoodlums" on his football team? You guessed it, Bill Parcells.

    Try again.

I'm not as big a fan of Derek Anderson as some people. He has had a great year dont get me wrong, but he also had a few terrible games that would make me wary as hell about giving anything much up for him.

Is it snowing in Miami? I actually agree with Desides?

I dont know a single Browns fan who thinks Anderson is their future. However hes better than what we have so why not? We're always taking other peoples trash and getting trash outta them.

Because Browns fans have a huge crush on Brady Quinn, did you hear them cheer when he came in for the injured Anderson? You would have thought they were 4-11 team looking forward to the future the way they cheered when Quinn came into a game and then they wanted him to stay in the game, pathetic that they would want to take out a quarterback who got them to a 10-6 record for a rookie who hasn't proven anything yet.

Surprisingly I have watched a lot of their games and I like what I have seen of him, a big strong armed quarterback who can make the tight throws.

What have you seen from Beck and Cameron to inspire such confidence from you? I'm not calling you out or anything, I'm just intrested in knowing what I've apparently missed when I got up to go to the restroom.

Since when does showing off for the cameras constitute being a "thug?" Last I checked Ocho was one of about 3 Bengals not arrested, hes not shooting at people outside of nightclubs like Pacman, or running over traffic cops like Moss etc. So the guy overcelebrates a TD catch.
Read that sentence again. A "Touchdown Catch." Im all for a few more of those in Miami, they have been lacking as of late. Just because the NFL is being uptight in not allowing players to smile these days doesnt mean someone is a "thug."

And wait. Was Bill Parcells responsible for Meshawn Johnson? I remember him joking about bringing him in as tight end a few days ago. Total joke, but they have a good rapport at any rate. I don see Chad being all that different in personality there.

Once again, Ill take a guy who overcelebrates a touchdown if IT MEANS WE ARE GETTING TOUCHDOWNS!!

As for Anderson, only if hes cheap. Guy had a good year yes, but that doesnt mean he will replicate it. Instead of giving up bundles for him id rather just draft another, or, you know, let Beck play a bit.

Thye have been wanting Quinn to start all season Anderson and the rest of the offense choking last week may have made them get a little more excited about Quinn but was not the only reason.

    It doesn't.

Going ballistic on multiple occasions in the locker room at halftime does.
Blaming others for his on-field mistakes does.
Getting into repeated arguments with his QB and other receivers does.

Educate yourself as to what Chad Johnson is doing in Cincinnati besides catching touchdowns--something he hasn't done a whole lot this year.

It's great that you put ability before character, but guess what? Bill Parcells does not. This is objective reality, and it's not going to change or go away even if you put your fingers in your ears and sing "LALALALALALALA."

Bill Parcells will not stand for having Chad Johnson (or Albert Haynesworth, for that matter) on this football team. Period. It will not happen.

Parcells didn't draft Meshawn, he was still with the Pats when the Jets wasted that draft pick.

As L2G said, Parcells didn't draft Johnson. If you're referring to Parcells' importation of Johnson to Dallas, two words: Jerry Jones.

I love how every Dick and Jane here thinks they now everything about the new "Man" running the show. How he's going to pick up this guy in the draft, and the """MARK MY WORDS"" and all that other BS.It feels like 2005 up in this mofo all over again.

All of you can repeat Bill all you want.... but at the end of the day He let a Coked up Lawrence Taylor play on his team for years and years.

He put up with the antics of the greatest defensive player of all time, and that's indicative that he may not mean what he's said in his introductory press conference?

Way to do exactly what you accuse everyone else of.
