Day 1? Which day is day 1? If you mean Tua day one, that's a lie. I gave him 2 years before I had seen enough and started trashing Trashavailoa. First post I quoted may suggest you're a little Bipolar. That's Tua in a nutshell, at least you can admit it sometimes buddeh.
Absolutely everybody not named Waddle has been horrible today. Defence getting nowhere near anyone of their players. Absolutely shambles on both sides of the ball.
Look... I'm done with this. All I'm saying is you can voice displeasure with this awful team performance today without death and injury wishes. That's not so difficult. So, let's just agree to disagree on literally everything it seems except for the fact that this team is absolutely pathetic today and Tua likely isn't the QB we need him to be. Sound good?
Tua is what he's always been. Average at best. Let's see Thompson, or whatever his name is, in the second.
Why are people blaming this game solely on Tua? He's been awful but lets not act like our supposed vaunted D has been anywhere in the realm of acceptable either.
More terrible defense. Boyer shouldn't be so comfortable in his South Florida home either. Maybe him and Tua can get a discount deal if they move out together?
Well, lets be honest it's been ugly from the start. We've moved the ball OK on offense, right up until Tua's INT's.
If I'm McDaniel I go to bridgewater in the second half. Tua's decisions on those two INT's alone is enough to have him benched for the second half to think about it. It's year 3 now if I'm not mistaken. Got to stop with these stupid mistakes at some point.
Who is? Does anybody not think the defense is the primary reason for today's (highly likely) loss? Pointing out any of Tua's various poor plays is not exclusively blaming him.
This is the kind of game where a good qb can bail out our d. With this group of receivers Tua needs to step up. This game isn’t solely on him but we are still waiting on him to show us he can save us in these moments. Hope can only float for so long.
I hope all the homers understand why we were not so excited with the win over the pats. Pats suck and Tua has not gotten any better this year.
Ok...here we go again...We're down big. This is Tua's chance to bring us back. Third time the charm? Lets hope...I mean here we are....It's Buffalo 2020 all over again, it's Tennessee last year against Tannehill. A great quarterback will make this thing competitive eventually. Unfortunately, I think the day is already over. I think Tua has another pick in him, I think Bridgewater will be playing by the end of the third quarter, I think the fanbase (especially this group) is going to blow up by the end of the night. This sucks...This is why we need a franchise quarterback. When the defense isn't doing it's job, you need a guy that can run an offense and bring his team back...Carry them. Tua can't do it. Here's yet another chance, hopefully I'm wrong, but I do'nt see it.
Exactly! I couldn't agree more with this take. Now is his chance...He'll fall flat on his face once again. Watch and see.
Yeah I'm done, he just doesn't have an NFL game. Enough to win against bad teams if the defense holds, but he just doesn't bring much to the table. Massive disappointment, absolutely massive.
A big problem here is the Dolphins should look like a team that is a QB away from contending and they look like a lot more than that somehow
I'm hardly a big Tua fan but blaming this all on him today is ridiculous. No running game, limited protection , horrible defense...but let's bash Tua because it makes you feel better.
If Tua doesn't at the very least bring this thing back and make it somewhat competitve, then that's it for me.
I'm not throwing in the towel just yet, still only week 2 in this new offense/system with new surrounding cast. Giving Tua a clean slate this year with a new coach and system so a slight sliver of hope maybe we got it right with McDaniel, but that being said it certainly doesn't look good at this point. I don't see a QB that you can win big games with against top defenses though. Regardless of our problems on the OL again this year, I'm talking simply about his own performance throwing the ball.
I totally get that this is a team sport. I get that each position has to do their jobs in order for things to go right, but this is on Tua right now. This is his chance to prove that he's worth keeping. Ok...You've played like crap in the first half, you threw two picks, bring us back.
I know I would. Those two INT's are solely on Tua being bad throwing decisions. You have to sit him down to send the message. It's not like it's the first time he's been benched mid game for poor play and poor decisions. Which really.... is saying alot and not in a good way obviously. There might be something to be said for letting him go back out in the 2nd half to try and redeem himself though. I just don't see it happening.
