God bless him. I like a lot of what Omar presented, but he knew how to stir the pot and then ask why people were reacting the way there did. Not gonna lie, the report that an anonymous defensive player told him he was "wasting his career" playing with Tua as QB rang false with me. Consider all of the truly trash QBs in the league and ask if you've ever heard a defensive player (of all things) complain about somebody on the other side of the locker room. It was almost as bad as something I'd expect from Armando to write. With that being said, I hope he and his family are happy with his new adventure.

I have made a point of not reading any of his stuff for at least 4 years. It got to the point that I felt I was less informed after reading his articles. The manure to pony ratio was way too high.

Omar is a decent beat writer. I never liked him because he was so critical of the Fins on many of those .500 teams- the hometown writer shouldn't trash his only story. But I get it and at least respected him for having an opinion. Lately though, he's been more with the "woke" mindset like he's changing sports or something, and I'm just not on board with that.

One other note- he said a few weeks ago that the offense was the worst he's ever seen at the start of training camp. I haven't heard that from anyone else, which is why I won't miss him one bit. I have a feeling he's lied to us many, many times to support his negative viewpoints.
