Hopefully, those of us from out of the area will hear first-hand reports of today's practice here. Darlington just said that Tua punctuated a meh practice with a 65 yard (!) strike in the end zone to Cheetah. Haven't been on other social media to see if there's video of it.

A week into training camp, who does everybody think will be one shock cut/trade from our roster by the time that the final squad is announced and who will be one shock player that makes the 53.

I'm pretty sure his presence is one of the reasons why McDaniel was interested in coming. Not sure about how shocking it would be, but I could see us trading Long before Gesicki. Keep in mind, trades for the next month are either going to be player-for-player or for late round draft picks. Nobody's going to part with assets if they think they can lure a player once we're forced to release him.

Gotta love that- two veteran DB's praising Miami's receivers and a reporter saying he knows better.

I'm actually intrigued to see who our WR3 will be this year, obviously we spent some money in FA bringing in Wilson but based off the camp reports it seems like Ez has been doing well. Definitely not a bad problem to have though.

I think training camp is going well.

Some nice surprises in the secondary with Crossen and Trill Williams apparently stepping up in Jones’ absent. Also sounds like Holland has found another level.

Sounds like the additions of Cheetah and Cedric are having the desired effect on the passing game.

Nervous about sitting starters during all pre season though. Just post trauma from how bad the team started season under Flores. Usually took 5 games before the team played to potential. I would rather use the pre season to knock the cobwebs off.

But I guess you have to trust McDaniel is getting more out of practices then Flores ever did.

Look at how much time Tua had before he had to dump this ball. The good news is that he knew the play was blown up and already got rid of it. The bad/good news is that his intuition is so high that his quick release can prevent disaster. The bad/bad news is that he has to deal with this nonsense. The bad news is that we're three weeks away from the season starting.

One thing for sure from watching the preseason games is my excitement for the season has gone from 100 to about 60.

As bad as AJ was last year, I was very surprised that they were putting him in the most important position on the line with a left handed QB. Reports out of camp were all talking about his progress with the new staff and leadership by Armstead. Videos from preseason seem to show the same old turnstile.

It's a preseason game. They did somethings that weren't on tape. He's complaining Bridgewater took the saftey and that on 4th and 1 dude jumped early. These things happen. Especially in preseason.

The bad news is that it was a 4-man rush and the LG doubled down with the center, threw a block, and still pivoted back to try to make the save...in the span of time it took Jackson to stand upright and take 2 steps. That was still 100% failure at technique.

Watched the game again. Skyler should be #2. Bridgewater looks lost.

Am I the only one who's concerned about the almost total lack of training camp information about our running backs? I've literally heard about every other position group ten times more than RBs.

This is the one thing I brought up more than once during the off-season. Everyone was high on Armstead. Don’t get me wrong, great signing but with Tagovailoa being a leftie, RIGHT tackle is the most important position on the line…that’s Tua’s blindside.

If Tagovailoa takes a crushing hit this season like he did last year, before everyone goes ballistic on Tua and his “fragility”, take a look at Jackson and how culpable he is for said crushing blow.

Most of the great pass rushers come from the left side though, so I'm happy with Armstead. I get your point though.
