Short passes are clearly easier to complete. It's it easier to actuator throw a ball 2 yards or 30 yards?

BTW, I COMPLETELY agree that every QB in the NFL is capable of completing basically any pass. Like, I've said this before, if you had a skills competition, there wouldn't be a drastic difference between say Rodgers and a bottom tier QB. The difference is all in how they are able to perform under adversity.

That was essentially my point- a QB can complete a 10 yard pass to an open receiver just as easy a 5 yard pass. It's not the distance that makes the pass harder; it's the timing, the pressure, the route, etc.

The difference between 5 and 10 yards is negligible. Think the difference between a free throw and an NBA 3-pointer. Throwing a pass less than 10 yards is easier than throwing a pass 30+ yards. Even 20+ yards.

Looking back at previous conversations, we've had two camps here. OL vs WR. In general we've said we need at least an average OL and a good WR corp. Grier has made some moves to upgrade both units. So, assuming the OL can at least be average and the WR corp decent, it's going to be a real proving season for Tua. Admittedly, it'll be another new offense to learn, and the acquisition of new players doesn't mean the units themselves will be any good. Yet, considering where the team is right now, this might be about as good a scenario as we could imagine for Tua.

Let's see if Grier lands Tyreek Hill, and a Center.
