The Bills outbidded themselves…… they could have offered 2 years 30 million and gotten him.. i dont know what that GM is smoking look how many games Von has missed the last 4 years.

Wait! What? Positive MJ tests suspensions are no longer allowed?!? How did I miss that little tidbit? When did that happen? Did it really?

But he wasn't suspended or in the program for a failed test. He was suspended for not taking the test. If that's the case then it's just harassment by the league

"The suspension was triggered by Collins' failure to appear for testing, the source added. He has not tested positive for a banned substance and is appealing the suspension.

I think we can agree that not showing and testing positive are almost always the same thing.

Not so much. He was injured, on crutches and could very well have just felt like he was being harassed for no reason and said eff you I ain't playin this game today.
I agree that letter of the law says refusing a test is prosecuted the same as a failed test. But that doesn't mean he has a substance abuse issue and will be a risk going forward

Cowboys informed RT La'el Collins of his release.

The Cowboys had been trying to trade their starting right tackle but found no takes for his $10 million salary. The bizarre move is being billed as a post-June 1 release, saving $10 million in real cash and 2022 salary cap space. It comes with an $8.7 million dead cap hit for 2023. The NFL Network "insider" crew has said to keep an eye on the Bengals for Collins' services. It would make all the sense in the world for a team that has spent the opening days of free agency upgrading its interior line. The Miami Herald reports Collins is interested in the Dolphins. Although injuries have been an issue the past two years, 28-year-old Collins has still been a well above average tackle. The Cowboys are moving forward with coaching staff favorite Terence Steele.

Disappointed. Was hoping Miami would sign him. But...

Rams signed Allen Robinson, formerly of the Bears.
Depending on the details of Robinson's deal with LA, this could end speculation that Odell Beckham will return to the Rams in 2022 after suffering an ACL tear in the Super Bowl. Robinson alongside Cooper Kupp and a healthy Robert Woods would make for quite the receiver trio, perhaps the best in the league. A-Rob's horrific 2021 season -- in which the Bears coaching staff seemed uninterested in using him -- might make it easy to forget his 2020 campaign, in which he went for 1,250 yards and six touchdowns on 102 catches.

It is so weird watching the Browns collapse. I thought they were going to be a pretty good team leading into 2021

Well that's something I didn't see coming. I wonder if they trade Ryan or just cut him. It's gonna be a massive hit this year, but that's about it iirc.

Side note, it might shake Terron Armstead loose. Some people were speculating he might try and link up with Watson, but that might be hard with Atlanta's cap. Also speculated that he was waiting to see if NO would have the cap space available to bring him back (vs aquiring Watson) and they should now.

Once he signs, that might domino the rest.

While there are still a number of good linemen available, I am still a bit baffled we haven't done more than stick a tepid toe in the water. While I am a big proponent that the offensive coaching was universally horrendous last year, trotting 4/5 of the same dudes plus one new guy who has penalty issues just doesn't seem wise.

Through all the Rogers “decision drama” , he always said his decision would heavily depend on what happened with #17, and he wanted to decide before the franchise tags were given out, etc. I have to think this was not part of the plan.

It's horrible this creep Watson has all of these teams by the balls.

These organizations need to show some dignity.

That's as awkward as can be. You have a lower-end franchise QB, try to snag an elite one, and now your franchise QB wants out. Miami made the same mistake w/ Tua but he fought through it. Good for Baker putting his foot in the ground and saying 'no thanks'.

I could care less about Cleveland, but I bet they cut Landry to make room for Deshaun's salary. So they're literally burning that place to the ground with mis-steps....it's great to see in another city, LOL.

Is that even legal without Ryan agreeing to it? Sounds fishy to me- employers can't just decide to pay you 4 days later and void it if they change their mind.

I agree completely. I hope he signed his contract already because if he hasn't, he's going to demand a trade. Rodgers is at the point in his career where he genuinely doesn't care what people think.
