I've been trying to find the link to this post at a Hurricanes website I go on but I haven't had any luck. Its from some guy named Matt's blog. Anyway, DVD has had trouble since he's become a Hurricane. He is weak for a CB and isn't physical according to many. Apparently, Meyer talked to DVD after the game and said he would have been better off at UF. From what I understand, DeMarcus Van Dyke and his family are close Meyer since Meyer tried recruiting him to UF two years ago. I don't find it a big deal but I'm not a fan of Meyer's comment. Just an opinion of his and mine.

Also, the Gators talked about Miami being the fastest team they faced including last seasons opponents. They also said that Miami has helped them prepare for the SEC. Here's a few comments from the Gators players.

I love all of the above. I just get really nervous when I think over confidence coincides with precarious circumstances.

 

Hate to burst your bubble and all , But if you look at the players the Gators are actually younger than the Canes.

I was really excited about Moody. It's still early, but there's certainly reason to be concerned. I just hate the idea of Moore being our RB.

 

VERY interesting about DVD. Why would Meyer even say that though? Just to make the kid feel bad? Or is he trying to plant the seed to make him think of transferring? I mean if you are close to the family, mention it to them. Don't rub it in the kids face...

 

I'm not surpised, considering he went to UF.

 

Not quite sure what the Gators age has to do with our Canes. I said that us Hurricane fans should be quiet when it comes to trash-talking and just be happy with the young talent we have. They played well in a hostile environment.

Not sure. Meyer's weird. I know many haven't been too happy about DVD's play though. He is a good cover corner but needs to be more physical according to many. Off-topic but one guy that I cant stand on the Canes is Bruce Johnson, our CB. He annoys the hell out of me lol. He gets beat often and seems to do stupid things. He makes me want to pull my hair out.

You did mention earlier that the canes were soo much younger than the Gators and using that as an excuse. Just wanted you to understand that the Gators are still the younger team

 

I don't recall me saying that. I said that us Hurricane fans need to be happy that we came in with a boatload of freshmen into a hostile environment and played well. The only thing that I recall me saying about us being younger and that it may have had an impact on our production is our offense. I said that the Gators offense may be more experienced than ours which is why we may have had a lack of production on offense and they didn't. If you can find a post where I said that we lost because we were "soo much younger", I'll give you credit. I'll gladly admit to you that I am wrong if you can find a post because I don't recall me saying that.

 

Well I am not going to look back in threads and look for it. I don't have the time. However it does not matter. Gators beat the Canes.

Man o man, UGA #3, UF #4, if it stays like that till they play together, what a game that will be, at least down here in the South.

 

Not that we've faced the toughest offenses, but it's still nice to see for the time being.

 

To see the progress of the defense is encouraging.Now the offense has to catch up

 

That would be nice. BC I have to say, I am somewhat disappointed in our offense so far. REALLY happy with our D, but need to see something more from the O.

I believe the UT fan base will throw parties when James leaves UF. He flat out owns them. Not just this year and last year. I know he had a return for a TD as a freshman that was called back on a crap penalty. I'm also fairly certain he had another that was at least a very long return that was called back.
