All that means is that the Dolphins have a decent marketing/PR team. At least they're winning at something...
LOL. "We feel we've got just the right coach in Brian. He's got past experience with a lot of our players and was able to do great things with a young team. We believe we have a good young roster and look forward to our future with him as head coach. He was the guy were targeting all along."
If Mike McDaniel was so intriguing after a “short” first interview that they’d let Daboll go to the Giants without an offer just to speak to McDaniel again, makes me think he’s the front runner at this point. Also, he brought something to the interview that they weren’t expecting, and blew them away.
It's not official yet. It's just 'per sources'. And I don't think we do get official since he isn't in the NFL at present, not sure how much the Vikings have to say. Maybe someone else can confirm?
Harbaugh has definitely been making it known through reporters that he is interested in returning. He would probably a Dolphin right now if we had a competent owner who prioritized his own team.
Looks like it's official now: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id...-patriots-josh-mcdanels-coach-dave-ziegler-gm Good luck to them. If he makes it to the start of the season then it's a win.
I wonder why Kris Richard has fallen out of favor. He was a hot interview in 2019 and a lot of people wanted him. Then nothing since.
Weird how rumors are, seemed like last week that they were imminently hiring Leftwich as their headcoach.

Harbaugh to the Vikings would be an interesting hire, but in all honesty I’d rather him be our next head coach. I think he’s the right type of fit and character that we need to deal with Grier and Ross.
If Harbaugh comes back to the NFL and it’s not the Dolphins I will view that as the last in a long line of failures for Miami. It will be hard to ever have any sliver of hope with this organization again. Firing a coordinator who had some success for unproven coordinator because he wasn’t a people pleaser or your GM is trying to cover his tracks is beyond comprehension. The only way that makes sense is if you’re bringing in a proven commodity. If I’m Ross, I’m giving him a blank check and full control over our personnel decisions.
