The Dolphins placed offensive guard Robert Jones on the COVID-19 reserve list Wednesday, the team announced. He joins cornerback Justin Coleman and practice squad running back Gerrid Doaks on the Dolphins’ COVID-19 reserve list. Jones has appeared in seven games for the Dolphins this season. He originally entered the NFL as an undrafted college free agent, signing with the Dolphins this spring. Jones was a two-year starter at Middle Tennessee State where he earned honorable mention All-Conference USA honors as a junior (2019) and senior (2020). Share this:

Other relevant news to the division race: The Titans ruled left tackle Taylor Lewan out for Thursday night’s game against the 49ers with back injury and that put Kendall Lamm in line to start in his place. Tennessee is going to have to come up with a Plan C at the position. Lamm announced on Instagram Thursday that he has tested positive for COVID-19. Right tackle David Quessenberry could shift over to the left side with second-round pick Dillon Radunz in at right tackle or the team could put Radunz in on the left side. Whatvever they do, they’ll be playing alongside a backup left guard, likely Aaron Brewer, because Rodger Saffold is also on the COVID-19 reserve list.
Defensive end Myles Garrett is questionable for Saturday’s contest with a groin injury suffered in Monday’s loss to the Raiders. Garrett did not practice all week and head coach Kevin Stefanski called him “50-50.” “He wants to play very badly but we’ll see how it goes over the next couple days,” Stefanski said, via Zac Jackson of TheAthletic.com. Stefanski also noted in his Thursday press conference that quarterback Baker Mayfield is expected to start Saturday’s game. The only question is whether Mayfield tests out of the COVID-19 protocols on Friday or he’s cleared from the protocols on Saturday. Stefanski noted that the Browns will have a plane on stand-by for any players who test out of the COVID-19 protocols on Saturday morning for the afternoon game in Green Bay. Cleveland has also listed defensive tackle Malik Jackson (knee) questionable and safety John Johnson (hamstring) as out.
NFL is coming out saying asymptomatic players are not spreading it. This tested positive crap might end soon. Although, they might pick on the unvaccinated.
