To play devil's advocate here, Simms' main point seems to be to evaluate Hill, not talk about Tua. He clearly believes Hill has some ability, and that's really what he was trying to say. But the Tua comparison is an odd choice to make for that purpose. Perhaps the full clip explains why Tua even came into the conversation?

EDIT - There's this as well, but still doesn't seem to be the starting point of the comparison...

Well he is berating Dolphins twitter for them being upset about his comments. That sort of thing is only going to backfire with that bunch.

He ranked Taysom Hill in the top 20 before the season. He is a buffoon.

Taysom is a great utility player.

But he's not a better QB than Tua.

Yeah, Simms also said that Zach Wilson was the top QB prospect in '21. Moving along.

He was, he's struggling in a bad situation now and they've asked him to do too much too soon, but in time he will shine through. Talent wise he was the best of the 2021 QB class.

Wait one daggum minnit, here... There are "bad situations" in the NFL?

Or are the Jests the only one that we know of?

The jets situation is worse than ours. They have a rookie coach with a rookie QB. Flores has done a great job of righting the ship this year, most of our recent success is due to to his coaching adjustments.

Reminder that he ranked Dyami Brown over Jaylen Waddle.

I think I would give Grier a lifetime contract before letting him near my team
