Nice that should win it but too little to late to save to the season but nice win none the less! Where is Malcom Brown on goalie carries is he still on the team? They suck as bad picking free agents as drafting players.
You can luck into some wins just like draft picks. Don’t let this win trick you into thinking this staff isn’t incompetent
Hunt is actually the best lineman we have right now, although that's not saying much with how awful the rest of the line is
Maybe we will run the table now huh? This is what drives me crazy we play horrible and get out of contention then we play great when it doesn’t matter and we finish .500 team seems we are always doing this win or just suck *** so we can fire you lol
He didn't throw for a TD but he did on a QB sneak. He missed some throws being hurt. He made some nice reads/throws when it mattered. All after being benched with the injury, coming in cold, clearly throwing with a hurt finger causing issues with accuracy but he takes us to the win. While it may not have been the offensive eruption and statement some may have wanted but it was still a statement IMO. Good on Tua for that.
I do enjoy it, I loved the defensive effort. This is what expectations were at the start of the season. I just cannot ignore how bad we are offensively. 3-7 means nothing to me at the end of the day but it was a fun game to watch.
As much as my fantasy team may appreciate a garbage time Devonte Freeman TD, I really don't want them to let one in here. Kill them.
WOW, just WOW. That was such an entertaining game (rare for Miami). Great defense, coaches did great, love that the players still haven't quit, and Tua showed toughness (his finger was clearly bothering him early on, yet played well). Guys.. after this game we play the Jets, Panthers, Giants and Jets. We play like this and this could be a 4-0 run to be 7-7!! That's why you don't quit until it's mathematically impossible to win. Great job Dolphins!
IMO a defensive resurgence saves Flores' job, but man we need a whole new offensive staff again, and some big improvements to the OL and WR and RB groups.
This was honestly the most enjoyable win we've had in quite some time. Baltimore has whooped us for years! I have grown to truly hate their football team. Beating them is every bit as sweet as beating the Tom Brady Patriots or the Jets or the Cowboys. Great win! Enjoy this one fellas!
I completely agree- I was smiling ear to ear that whole 2nd half, and really the whole game. That was not the 30th ranked defense out there on the field! That was completely dominant defensive football against the best offense in the league.
Robert Hunt's post game interview about his non-TD was great. Especially when they asked about how big of a win it is being the underdog and he proceeds to call out everyone on set for picking baltimore, and started citing their predicted scores to them as well. It was quite funny.
I think so too- if it was a tie game or we were down a score, we have barely seen that type of boldness on the field. Tonight was EXACTLY what this team was built for though...dial up the pressure to a '10', let the secondary work and wait for the turnovers to come. I have no idea why we haven't seen that in our 7 losses this year, but hopefully that's the scheme we stay in the rest of the season. I thought the same thing though- why haven't we been covering like this all year? Was it because Jones and Howard were banged up?
Jacksonville beat Buffalo last week. Many people including myself are expecting them to return back to normal, crappy, young team. Most are already calling what we did tonight a fluke. I desperately do not want that to be true. One game at a time as they say. It would be great to finish this season on a big time upswing.
Same. Too many big losses to the Ravens to not make this a special win. It feels like a fluke, given the short week and it was really a defensive TD that won it for us, along with a busted coverage or two.
Patriots made a dynasty out of playing great defense and patient offense, waiting for the opposition to make a mistake.
As a Dolphin fan how many games have we lost due to letting up a defensive TD and a few busted coverages. This is football. Almost all games are like this.
