Great news. Since the Cowboys granted permission, there can be no fight from Jerry Jones about the potential hire. Looks like we may have our new GM locked up before Cameron even gets fired. Though, I have a feeling Cameron may be retained for 2008.

He is still under contract until after the draft. Does Jones let him leave is the big question.

As long as Parcells gives him final say, he'll be the GM ASAP.

Definately , a great news ! I can't wait for Parcells to get everything in place as far as the front office for now.

My guess as to why Jones opted no to fight for the rights of Ireland is that he might want to deal with Parcells before or During the Draft to snag Mcfadden with the first Overall....

Sucks to be him, huh? ;)

I would hate to trade down that far, I would prefer to stay in the top 3-4 if possible so we can select Gholston. Heck, he might even go #1.

Man If Jones wants McFadden you have to trade, this time has so many needs that you need as many players as possible., Plus, the type of money the first overall pick gets is insane....

I have nothing to back it up, it is just a bad guy feeling I have. I hope he is fired and Sparano is hired. However, I can't shake the feeling that he will be back. I hope I am wrong.

Well, I wouldn't be surprised if he stayed either, nothing surprises me anymore... I would think that both he and Mueller were tied at the hip though.

He will have to let him go, Ireland becomes GM and his first job is to hire a coach, that is what GMS do right, so bill has a good case for this one
