After this death by FG coming up...

If someone doesn't get fired on Monday I may have to throw in the towel on the season. Back to the F1 race and other games I go.

How do you 'change your mind' on a holding call? I will never understand. You saw something, you threw a flag, you're a professional referee... Did you suddenly decide you didn't see it? Did he get overruled by another official. I wish the commentators would talk more about these things.

Was there any confidence in the defense here? It goes back to Tua with those turnovers. Even a single FG changes the dynamics of the end of this game.

I'm ready to see a house cleaning.

Poor defensive effort and too many turnovers by Tua ultimately cost us the game today.

Wow.. team sucks (especially defense), but there's no doubt Tua is progressing. He made 2 bad throws (one far worse than the other) that led to costly INTs but we haven't moved the ball like that or overcome 3rd and long in a long while. If he can fix those decision-making errors he's going to be a good QB. And the coaching staff needs to let him throw deep more often. He showed he can do that, but I think they're trying to play it safe too much.

and we don't even have our own first round pick thanks to Grier. He should be fired immediately.

Welp, we still have two loserbowls to play against the Jests. And the Lions are pretty damn awful. But we're certainly in the 30s so not much difference from 30 to 32nd in suckage.

The players should be excused from press conferences. Flores and Grier should be on the stand fielding all the questions.

I understand why we brought him back, and why people wanted him back. At the time, I thought moving on was in our best interest. Looking like that line of thinking was probably accurate. Wouldn't be surprised to see him and possibly Parker moved before deadline.

Remember, we had a blocked field goal. That was not on Tua. And also keep in mind, Ryan had an interception AND a lost fumble. He had just as many turnovers as Tagovailoa.

He also threw two INT's today; one in the endzone. So yeah he left the field with the lead, but it shoudlnt have come down to a last second FG to lose the game if he doesn't throw two INT's today.

He was playing against one of the poorest defenses in the NFL, a team with a backup secondary and unable to stop the run. I see Tua as a game manager QB -he will never be elite, never worth the #5 pick it cost to get him.

Sure, Tua will get better with experience, but his ceiling is too low to make us competitive with the Bills and at best equal to the Pats.

At least with him still here we have some trade bait to try and rebuild properly again without Grier if we wanted to.

This exactly. Made a couple of stupid rookie errors, especially on that second int but he's looking more accomplished with every game. To listen to some folk, you'd think he was a seasoned vet and we are on our way to a superbowl. He's a rookie on a ****e team and he's our best shot at turning this franchise around. But guess Tua haters gonna hate, no matter how well he does.

I defended him to a point… when you have 4 years remaining on a contract, youre not allowed to holdout, no one forced him to sign his name on it. I was then fine with perhaps the dolphins should give him more guarantee money fronted to match up with the other cornerbacks in the NFL.. and they did that… im glad they did not give him an extension. His play is starting to decline and who knows how much longer his legs will hold him up..

now i want to see us move him to another team

We don't know what his ceiling is. You take away those dumb-decision INT's and that's a franchise QB performance. Just give him a chance. I certainly won't make excuses for him if he plays below average this year, but this year isn't over. Be patient.

I have to agree with you that he's progressing. I get it was Atlanta today, but he's doing things that show growth. Going through progressions, managing the pocket, showing pocket awareness, nice accurate throws. Just got to improve that decision making. He looks better this year so far than last year, that's for sure. I still don't think he's going to be worth #5 overall when it's all said and done though; but we all should hope so.

Even without the INTs, that was not a franchise QB performance. It was dink and dunk all game long against one of the worst defenses in the NFL. Tua's cieling is quality starter and competent game manager. You can win a Superbowl with that type of QB, but a top ten elite Franchise QB I'm afraid he will never be. He just doesn't have the arm strength, football IQ, or durability to be an elite QB.

This is what infuriates me. Keep in mind we could have stayed at 3 and drafted the best WR in the NFL.

Waddle will be a solid to good WR but he’s not a difference maker. And you don’t give up 2 1st round draft picks for a WR ever. Especially when you don’t have a good OL or defense.

Oh, I'd stick with Tua over a desperate trade for Watson, but I think it's time for people to be fired. Give Tua a good OL and a defense that can make a stop when needed and we can hang with all except the elite NFL teams.

Good, but not great is.... not good enough though. The QB search needs to continue, with a new GM (and new coaching staff if that's what the new GM wants).

You keep saying this, but Tua made some longer throws later on, suggesting that the dink and dunk is in large part a stupid OC problem. Tua also showed serious toughness in the game today on at least one play, and it's not like he's been on IR longer than other QB's. Furthermore, there's no reason to think he can't learn not to make those kinds of stupid throws. He's already improved his decision-making a ton over last year. And yes if you take away those 2 INT's that's more than enough to win most games.
