Maybe the clowns running the offense will take some notes here and open it up from the start next week. We have playmakers on offense, just have to give them chances and find ways to get them looks behind a shaky OL.
If they go 4-13 or anywhere close they will have to fully clean house. It would mean a total failure where everyone is responsible.
If he was consistently healthy and just plain consistent with his hands he could have been. Just not the case though; but he's the best we have at deep toss ups like that and he's played well since Flores got here. At least far better than he ever has. Sadly he's all we got with Fuller out again. In all honesty though with Fuller, Parker, Waddle and Gesicki this SHOULD be a good offense. Just need an OL and consistent QB play
Sorry to tell you but the prime of Parkers career is over and he probably isn't a Dolphin next year. Waddle might be the only WR on this roster currently that's on the team next year.
Tua MIGHT be consistent going forward, but the OL is probably broken beyond repair for 2021. If Tua comes through, it could be a 7-10 season I guess. Just below average, as usual for Miami.
Needham gets called for DPI, but Ogbah almosdt had his jersey ripped off his shoulder pads coming aroudn the edge with no call. I'm surprised.
I can handle our offense struggling with a backup QB and a young OL but it’s frustrating seeing lack of discipline and mental lapses. You can’t event point to one thing to say why we lost today. Defense, offense, special teams, coaching, roster management and ownership all get the blame.
Zach Seller is a high motor guy that practices well and is rewarded by the coach and front office with contracts. But, he's not an NFL player.
Me neither. I think Waddle will be a good player but I don’t understand why you take him that high and why you give up your own first round pick. Did Grier actually think this roster was talented enough to be good? If so, he doesn’t know up from down.
TBH I'm not sure what we did with a single first round selection since Grier was elevated. From Harris till now it's just a wasteland.
I will always be a dolphins fan, but I'm done watching the games this year. Offense is a joke. Defense is uninspired. I think Flores survives because the players seem to respect him. Grier is probably already packing a box. Just abysmal.
Wow.. how disappointing. I'm guessing everything's already been said in this thread (haven't read through it), but today was simply inexcusable. Flores really needs to get new OCs like starting right now. Ideally Ross steps in and gets rid of Grier too but I can understand waiting till the end of the season for that. But if Flores doesn't get new coaches on offense that shows a problem with him as HC. So he needs to act quick on that front. Looks like the only reason to watch this season is to see if Tua can develop or not. Losing today was just inexcusable.
Flores needs to be held accountable I like the guy but now worried about his ability to build a team and with Grier finding those pieces. Ross has to make a hard decision and I feel like if Ross turkey is letting his guys run the show and pick etc then he should fire Grier and Flores and start again. Fans are going to ***** and moan (I will) but I feel we don’t have a bright future and Ross will need to show some hope..
I understand your frustration. It’s tough to watch year in and year out. Especially when you hit the lottery with a trade, then take that trade and get more picks and then just completely piss it down your leg.
It would be the most Dolphin's thing ever to win next week out of nowhere to pick us up just a tad, then sputter to like a 7-10 season.
Grier might be putting a trade package together for Watson. Nothing to lose for Grier by giving up anything the Texans want for him, despite all the red flags and possible suspension/criminal charges. If Watson works out, it saves his job, if he fails, Grier won't have to deal with the mess left behind.
Watson will only set this franchise back another 10 years. This game was obvious they're not close to anything. This year will be about developing Tua when he's healthy and building around him for 2022.
Everyone will focus on Grier or on specific players but the reality is the situation is so much worse. Its easy to do that because we don't want to face that the organization might be a complete disaster. A situation where many of us thought maybe we would end the year knowing they are a QB away seems like a dream right now because at least there could be options. We aren't even going to be able to fairly judge Waddle or Tua because the entire offense is filled with players who the team is getting the absolute minimum out of.
That doesn't matter to Grier, its about saving his job right now. If that means Watson, so be it. If Ross will buy into 'we need to develop Tua this year' then Grier gets the rest of this year and most of 2022 (when the OL rebuild fails yet again and it becomes obvious). So, it will be 2023 before Miami begins yet another rebuild. So, maybe 2026, if they get a QB, to become a good team?
Nothing should save Grier from getting fired. The only reason why we are considering selling the house to get Watson is because Grier mismanaged the draft and all personell decisions up til now.
Bloody hell. Missed the game cos we had the in-laws round and I was cooking but just caught up on the highlights and stats. WTF has happened to the running game? I mean, Brissett only threw for 199 yards, so how poor must we have been? Something's got to give with the OC's. It's just not working with Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee. I like Flores but it's looking like we made the wrong choice there as well. This was supposed to be our breakout season FFS!
