In my opinion TUA shouldn’t play this week. Sit em a week at least and heal up because the raiders are kicking their lips at our offensive line (I’m going to keep calling them that) this is an important game for us we can either spiral downward or regain some respect and momentum on a tough first half of the schedule.

the raiders D is tough and will be blitzing a lot.

i believe we need to spread them wide 5 consistently to prevent more blitzes and if they do make them pay because we will have someone open.

pepper in a strong running game ( I hear you laughing) but we need to establish the run this week badly.

we also need waddle and fuller running deep routes and we need to connect on a few!

how would you scheme this game??

I agree that we should rest Tua and let him heal. The risk of him worsening his injury and being out long-term is too high.

Beyond that, I also agree that we need to try and run the ball as much as possible. We need to go more 2TE sets and essentially use a 7-man line to protect both the QB and try to create room in the run game. Don't try to throw deep often, and give up on the plays designed to try and gain a lot of YAC. Just focus on getting positive yardage as often as we can, keep the chains moving, eat the clock and try to get at least 3 points on most drives.

On defense, hopefully Jacobs is out for Vegas, and that would be a big help so that their run game isn't much of a challenge. They're one of the few teams running the ball even worse than Miami is. We need to double cover Waller, and see if we can force Carr into throwing some picks.

Hopefully we can keep the score low and sneak out with an ugly W.

We don’t have enough talent to compete, unfortunately. Our tackles can’t block, our quarterback is 5’11” 180 lbs and is always hurt, our running backs are terrible and our receivers can’t catch consistently. The Dolphins don’t have enough talent to challenge for a playoff spot.

Bench Tua, let him heal another week. Start Eichenberg at LT. Work the WR's like dogs all week and make them realize the importance of catching the football. Heck, maybe even trade one of them to whatever team looks like the new Cleveland.

Realistically, if the offense even halfway shows up then we'll be in this ballgame. Lots of problems to fix though in a short amount of time.

Catch the ball. Pick up blitzers blocking. Sure tackling at 1st engagement.

Outside of that, what's stopping us - or shouldn't I ask?

I know it sounds insane but I think the O line has to feel like crap and will play better this week. Now i know that anything will be better than last weeks pathetic performance but the reality is every week is a new opportunity. Not going to predict a win but I think they should be better.

Pray a lot. I don't see us winning this game. Raiders are looking good, and we are looking like Crap. Maybe we should have hired Gruden in 2018 instead of giving Gase another year to **** the bed.

Gotta shuffle the OL. Unless we pick up a trade/FA vet, I'd be aiming for something like Liam/Mancz/Deiter/???/Hunt

Whomever has the best practice of Davis, Jackson, Kindley or whomever can fill at RG. Let Mancz be Liam's vet guide with line calls and such, Deiter can focus on the right side.

I would NOT let Tua sit if he can go and the staff feel he gives us a better shot to win than Brissett. I want to see Tua play through pain and still challenge and win games. That said, if he is physically limited to the point that he's less viable, sit him for the week.

I have no faith in Gaskin to be anything other than a decent runner who is a huge liability in pass pro. I'd bench him for Brown and then have a dose of Ahmed to see if his speed can shake things loose. WR's just need to hang on to the damn ball. Tired of drops and if it continues, people need to be benched/cut. This is a continued issue from last year.

Defense is going to need to ball out to keep this game close or keep us ahead if we get a lead. I felt like last week we needed the offense to carry the day, this week it's the defense. Waller and Co. shredded us last year, time for some payback.

How do we beat the Raiders? Pretty simple actually…

Score more points than they do.

We need Fitzpatrick back to throw another hail mary to Hollins to beat the Raiders

Prepare to hear the name Maxx Crosby. He'll be looking to introduce himself to our QB on Sunday.

Our OL should have his picture up on their lockers.

Not sure it will matter though.

I never really thought it was a good idea to have a lefty QB backed up by a right handed QB. The line practices all week with the lefty and there's not enough experience to shift seamlessly when the right handed guy comes in. It was doomed to be a mess. Now the line has practiced with Brissett all week so, DO NOT bring in Tua at the last minute.

Here's my optimistic take on how the Dolphins can win this week (taken from the Pick thread):

"I'm going to go crazy here and against all odds, I'm calling for a Dolphins win. I saw the Raiders vs. Ravens and Carr looked vulnerable deep. He took a lot of risky shots. There were two of three interceptions that didn't quite happen. He seemed a little trigger happy. I think our secondary can really challenge their passing, and that was much of their game. With a week for Brissett to prepare as QB1, and he's hungry, and severe telling off from Flores, some OL shuffling and maybe playing for their lives, just maybe we can pull this one out of the hat. I'm not very confident but it's a possibility, even away. Go fins!"
