Give up passes, I hate those so much. You just throw it short and hope for a miracle. This offense is bad, but I guess they can split the blame between two people instead of one... so, there's that.
I like Flores… but if we see more games like this, the rest of this season.. its time to question our future with him.. we dont have an offense for the third straight year
Ogbah was held the entire way around the corner and to the QB on that sack, yet no flag flew. What in the hell are these refs looking at.
Embarrassing. But when you have a quarterback who's a star you're not gonna get called. Tua was ransacked and body slammed and driven into the ground on his ribs and got nothing. If it was Allen that player would have been ejected.
4th and 2, 1 yard pass again. Again to everyone's favorite stiff Preston Williams who couldn't catch a cold.
Just cant catch a damn ball.. there is no rhythm… brissett to his credit has completed a decent amount of passes without practice with the first team.. this game would have looked different with tua
Agreed. Pretty sad really. I was adamant early on that should have been a penalty for Epenesa slamming Tua to the turf. They showed a reverse angle coming out of halftime though that maybe looked a bit more like he didn't drive him down with his body weight, landed on his knees with his hands on Tua still. From the regular angle it looked plain as day to me, from that reverse/behind angle it didn't look quite as bad, but still seemed "violent" enough that it's routinely a call in the NFL now. The inconsistency in officiating is driving me to a point where I'm losing enjoyment in watching the game. Cap that off with how frustrating we are to watch in general and lately I often find myself wondering what I'm wasting beautiful days like today sitting inside for.
Deshaun Watson needs to worry about avoiding a lengthy suspension or even jail time currently. No thanks. Without that ordeal I'd be all over bringing him here, but with that cloud hanging over his head. No thanks. Cap that off with the compensation demands from Houston... No thanks times 2.
Doubtful. He was a coach of the year candidate last year. This is one game and only the second game of the season. Let's pump the brakes a bit here eh? Play like this well into the year and yeah; it's a conversation worth having. His fatal flaw at this point is his inability to hire a good offensive co-ordinator to straighten out the side of the game that isn't his specialty.
This team is going to be unwatchable as long as Tua is out. I'm not going to spend money to watch Brissett play. Hopefully Tua is back in a few weeks.
Well, I'm not surprised the OL is A weakness but I'm just saddened. It was the glaring weakness and it was mostly unaddressed. And last week I couldn't believe the Dolphins bloggers and podcasters who were trying to argue they were doing okay. They used the examples of Miami holding up well under a rush where they had a numerical advantage! If an OL can't win then they may as well not be there. I notice Hunter Long is inactive. You know who wouldn't have been inactive? An offensive lineman you drafted instead of him. But whatever. I'm less and less impressive with the Flores era. Trying to be too cute, too tricky. Alternate QBs, other odd looks or trick plays, dual OCs, staff members leaving. There has been a high concentration of weirdness with this regime. Maybe that's an indication of something. I don't know. But the repeated areas of failure. The Dolphins are a joke in this league. It's beyond dispute. We're among the worst teams in the league because we're always mediocre and never change and that's real failure. This organisation won't change until Ross is gone. I don't know why for sure but there's a persistent culture of failure and he's the common denominator.
Nice play by Jones. Thankfully because Miami had another DE (opposite Ogbah)coming around the edge blatantly held with no flag.
No. This was the same garbage we did last year to close out the season. Flat out no pumping the brakes. We’ve seen this crap before. No, I’m tired of waiting on this team. Make changes quicker so we don’t waste next year too. This tenure can’t identity quarterback talent, the most important aspect of football in today’s game. No.
What a terrible call on Ogbah. These officials... honestly; why do we even bother watching the garbage the NFL and Miami calls football now.
So, this team has taken a step back. Despite the improvements on paper, we have a starter that can't stay healthy and a backup that can't provide any spark. Flores will get this year and next to show something more, but for the first time I'm thinking he won't get it done. Grier has killed him with a bad OL and a miss on the QB selection.
I’m not going to wish an injury on a player but I wouldn’t be sad if Allen were to get knocked out of the game.
