The Panthers put this out on social media which was, apparently, also on the jumbotrons - an augmented reality panther. Really cool to see and exciting because this is the sort of thing that could become part of the stadium experience. The next step would be to move beyond just the jumbotrons and have the animations appear in different ways and places - around the edge of the field, walkways, and other open spaces. A few years ago there was an example of this that did the rounds online and it occurred to me that the Dolphins could really make use of this with AR Dolphins hunting around. It would be one way to move on from the horrible dolphin mascot as well as enhance the live stadium experience. It looks a bit angry. It's like a creature from another dimension which has slipped into this. If you keep still, it can't detect you. A bit like that horror movie from the 80's, 'From Beyond'.
