He did have a weird type of nervous energy about him in the interviews- but I thought he looked really good in his debut. To me, it sounds like he's super tough on himself and it could be his downfall, we'll see. I thought it was bizarre that he didn't want to keep the ball from his 1st TD pass in the league.
He wrapped up on the upper thigh, which is in the "strike zone" anyway. That was just a lousy call but I'm pretty sure we weren't allowed to challenge it.
Right? He didn't spear him or charge through his legs, he actually wrapped him up well. Not a bad tackle at all.
Thought that was kinda dumb of him. He could have gave it to his coach like Tua did. He could have gave it to his mom like Waddle did. He could have saved it as an heirloom for a future child or wife. I have a sneaky suspicion that they gave it to him after the game.
Speaking of challenging, why didn't Flores challenge the pass to the tight end that bounced off the ground into his hands? That was like a 3rd and 6. That was not a catch!
I agree, and the announcers even said that the Pats would snap the ball quickly before a challenge flag could come out. I forget what happened on the very next play, but they rushed that one too because it was another controversial call.
Who wants to make a bet on the week one power rankings? I'm guessing both New England and Buffalo will be ranked well ahead of us by the talking heads around the league.
The Bills are a better team than Miami right now no matter what the results of Week 1 were so I expect them to be ranked ahead of Miami. The sad thing is that New England will still be ahead of Miami too because most of these writers that do these things are morons.
Great to see 2 of our rookies graded pretty well. Eichenberg made a few mistakes but overall held his own for his first NFL start. Did anyone see much out of Phillips?
I glanced at one in the newspaper today they actually have Buffalo at 11, Miami at 13 and New England at 21 so I am little surprised at that. I felt like it was going to be a "Miami didn't win that game, New England lost it" type of thing.
All-22 of Tua's throws. Some really good stuff there. If they can tighten things up a little this will be a really good offense.
