Talk about having to get the ball out quick....

Lots of pass rush so far!

Some great last seconds throws in the face of pressure. OLs holding up okay but both pass rushes are intense.

Brady started to look good but Prescott just had himself a drive.

    This is good football.

Bucs CB Bunting out for the game. Elbow injury.
Bucs are getting thin at CB.

Yeah, the NFL has gotten so weird. Its like watching 12-year olds play Madden.

It's also partly due to the defensive and offensive strengths of the teams - the Bucs strength by far is the DL, so the Cowboys are trying to negate that with their strong WR group (against a depleted Bucs secondary). As long as they get the ball out in time, it's a huge advantage, while running between the tackles against the Bucs front with no Zack Martin is not a great idea.

On the other side, Brady is the consummate vet - you can rely on him and the Bucs solid WR group against a crappy Cowboys defense.

There just isn't need or incentive to run in this game so far. I bet if the Bucs score here and then stop the Cowboys they try and start eating clock.

Ho hum another exciting NFL finish. McCarthy showed us again he's a loser HC. Play for the fg lose by the fg.

Bucs won 31-29...so I'm guessing it was a good game. I forgot it was on.

It was a lot sloppiler than I expected. Like a preseason game. I think the new system is going to lead to poor play like this early, sadly.

If the damn kick didn't miss a chip shot and and extra point they could have won.

Doesn’t THIS thread belong in the “Other NFL” forum? I’ve noticed that the “Miami Dolphins Forum” has been getting flooded with quite a bit of non-Dolphins threads as of late.

As for the game itself, it was a decent game but as to the sloppiness of it all, this is what happens when you sit all of your starters during preseason instead of playing them. The Cowboys SHOULD have won this game and even though it’s only the first game of the season, how many teams miss the playoffs by ONE game?

This year, the moderators decided to post all the NFL teams in the main forum just to see how it goes.

So far I like it, but it really depends on what happens during the season. If we're getting tons of posts on people's hometown teams, stats around the league, etc. then I probably won't like it. But I do think a couple of threads here and there on top of the Fins stuff could keep things more lively.

Specifically, I think it would be cool for one of us (or a group of us) to each pick one of the other AFC East teams and watch them all season w/ mini reviews after each game. Are the Jets getting better? Are the Bills really legit? That sort of thing.

I end up watching a lot of Baltimore and Washington because they're my local teams, but they're both always boring as Hell. :chuckle:

Same. The other forum didn't get enough traffic to be interesting.

I like the Lions. I've always hoped well for them.

I grew up in Steelers country, so I watch them a lot. More than anyone other than the Fins. They're certainly on TV enough.

Same here. My current hometown team is the Panthers and I could never get fully behind them, even when Cam was in his prime. I'd go to a game every now and then and enjoy it while I was there, but it definitely wasn't the same as watching the Fins.

They are doing the wholesale teardown/rebuild that we started 3 years ago. They are going to be horrendous this year lol.

Probably so, but they've always been the NFC North team I've pulled for. Their offense was a lot of fun to watch in the 90s.

Now, their current opponent is my favorite offense to watch. They are so, so good. I wish almost every week that we had something akin to what the Niners do.
