Out of all the teams in the NFL, the dolphins roster cutting is possibly the most interesting one… probably the Patriots too… Flores and Belichick will cut the least unexpected players.. when you think a player is a lock to make the roster and maybe even a starter, Flores and Belichick cut you on the final day of cuts.

Robert Foster surprises me. Must not have a way on the team.

Does putting Lynn Bowden Jr. on injured reserved mean that he is out for the season?

Ford didn't even make the final cuts. Maybe he can make it onto the practice squad.

Maybe that's the goal of early release? Other teams will still have things to figure out, so maybe won't snatch someone up so quickly?

Means he's out the first 3 weeks, and also means he doesn't count against the final roster count.

Ford was just a lesser Hollins, no real point to keeping him. Foster was always a long shot. The depth at the position is impressive, but man these dudes at the top need to stay on the field.

Holley was initially an undrafted free agent of the Minnesota Vikings back in 2017, but was released prior to that preseason. In 2018 he decided to join the Indoor Football League, playing with the Nebraska Danger, where he recorded 23 tackles and a forced fumble in two games. After that, Holley had a brief stint with the Los Angeles Rams in training camp. Unfortunately, that also did not work out. So, in 2019, Holley shifted his focus to the Canadian Football League.

Holley was named the league’s Most Outstanding Rookie with the Calgary Stampeders. During the 18 games he played there, he recorded 100 tackles, a sack, and an interception as a linebacker, the same position he played at Kent State.

Nate Holley had some real standout moments during training camp and preseason chasing down defenders. It would not be a surprise if the Dolphins opted to stash him on the practice squad if he clears waivers.

They aren't interested imo, it's a teardown and tank for top pick season.

SMH. Between this and the Isaiah Wilson trade (and subsequent release), it makes it seem like we have the balls to cut players we deem unlikely to help us while being too stupid to avoid wasting resources to acquire them.

We've seen a lot of costly FA acquisitions get cut quickly. There have been contract arrangements that meant it hasn't been too costly, but at the same time the lack of solid development is a cost in its own right... maybe it's just been a bad period of availability for quality OL that he's suffered combined with his choices not being great so far. Still would have liked to see Grier draft more OL talent this year.
