Hopefully, Fields is OK. I would have to think that #59 Andre Smith is suspended. He played in 12 games with Buffalo last season.

It'll say a lot about the kid for him to come back without being skittish and with his head on a swivel. Coming off the crushing hit against Clemson, a lot of buried anxiety can make its way to the surface after a blast like that.

Prepare yourselves for Zach Wilson to win the coveted Justin Fields Overhyped Rookie Quarterback Of The Week Award. He looks like Justin Herbert out there.

I wasnt that impressed by Wilson today, he made some nice pkays but nothing extraordinary… Fields got rocked all day and went limping to the locker room to end the game…

if youre Nagy what are you thinking gambling with Fields getting hurt against a bunch of third stringers trying to make the NFL… i swear that guy wants to get fired

Well, I think that its very likely that Nagy gets fired after this year, regardless. I expect them to fight with the Lions for a distant 3rd place in that division and a losing record.

Did Bechton play for NYJ today? The 3ypc guys were saying he showed up grossly out of shape. He has the raw talent and frame, but he's a massive dude that needs to work to keep the extra off.

Nagy is thinking he needs to get Fields as many reps as possible to get him in as soon as possible. Playing Andy Dalton is a recipe to get fired by week 7 lol.

Lol well fields got hit in the helmet, i was shocked the refs didnt ask for him to take a play off for concussion protocol.. his helmet literally flew like 10 yards back.. and then he got speared and sandwiched a few times and walked out limping… he was behind an offensive line filled with 2nd and third stringers… and that line was getting dominated, lots of qb pressure.. that defense he faced trying their best to get a job and taking risks even if it meant a personal foul… thats a recipe of losing your job before the season begins..

Nagy is between a rock and a hard place as far as his QB situation is concerned.
Tribisky looked good today, so it could have been any combination of the Bear's OL and the coaching that caused his trouble on the Bears.

I am rooting hard for Motor City Dan Campbell and the Lions this season. I don't think they're going to be a contender or anything, but I'm thrilled Campbell is getting his shot and showing up with the same energy and toughness we saw in Miami. I absolutely love that man!

I generally pull for the Lions, but I don't like Campbell.

Really?!? To me, he's just a great, no BS type of guy that gets a ton of respect in this league. I think it's exciting when former players take over because it's a different type of chemistry from the top down. I really wish he stuck around instead of us bringing in Philbin- they're polar opposites in coaching style and it's fun to think about "what could have been".

Anyway, I'm really hoping he succeeds in turning that franchise around. I've never been a Lions fan but that changes this season.

Man they are us after we traded Tunsil. Bad. Very very bad ... but with a ton of draft capital in the future. They should be better than Houston and probably not much else. Unless Goff does something shocking, they will be picking one of the first QBs off the board in the top of next years draft.

I get not liking him - I'm sure he's really quite intelligent, but he goes overboard with the meathead schtick sometimes. Some of the local fans are already kind of questioning it, but ultimately it will be the product on the field that decides his fate. Any schtick is great as long as you win (BB's cynical stoicism, Reid's goofiness, etc) but wears very thin very fast as the losses pile up. This will be a challenge since they will likely be really bad this year. He's gotta keep the respect of the team and players, and hope that some individuals pop and progress, like us a few years back.
