Cant find a game thread… if there is one just merge this… if there isnt one then everyone WAKE UP.. the dolphins are back..

Tua looks a whole lot more comfortable out there than he did last year… the league may have slowed down for him

    Tua is looking sharp early.
    Geisiki is involved.
    Gaskin is looking solid.
Brown is consistently getting stuffed and gumming up the offense a bit.

Rowe is in mid season form, outstanding play on the ball !

And as I’m typing this up, Tua throws a Red Zone INT. He is definitely looking more aggressive throwing the ball downfield though.

Listening to local sports radio and they mentioned Tua looking good. Let's go Phins!

Grant shaking and baking on that return.
So far he has been back for all 3 returns.

He looks way more decisive, he didn’t see the guy sitting in the middle of the field for the INT though.

    My mistake.

And that’s it for Tua after 1st quarter…
Tough INT but he looked looser moving around and more comfortable releasing the ball and stepping into his throws.

After #34 was disgraced last season by Jordan Howard, Malcolm Brown looks to be doing the same

Justin Fields is gonna need a whole lot more weapons in chicago if hes going to succeed… with … theres not one receiver on the bears that id want … and montgomery is solid but never felt he was special.

I mean Allen Robinson isnt playing right now in this game. But to be clear… you would want him? He is one of the best in the game.

Tough series for Igbohagenhe there on the touchdown drive. Meanwhile Needham was making plays in that 1st half. Needham is so underrated.

And now Noah I is shaken up on a tackle. Looks like an arm or shoulder issue.

    Dolphins 1st-Half:

    (1) Tua definitely looks sharp. Still not a cannon-arm QB but fast feet and very decisive.
    (2) Mack Hollins is probably going to make the team. If he can be solid, he's as good or better than most of the other JAG WRs.
    (3) Jakeem Grant really wants to make the team. We'll see if there's room. Wouldn't be surprised if he just makes the cut, or just misses it.
    (4) Adam Shaheen is nothing special. Smythe may not be the one getting cut if Long is #2.
    (5) Noah Igbinoghene never gets his head around. More an athlete than a natural CB.
    (6) Nik Needham is clearly solid.
    (7) I think Solomon Kindley is a starter. He just needs to lose a few pounds. He's so ridiculously fat.
    (8) Miami's OL clearly prefers pass-blocking to run-blocking.
    (9) Miami's D is loaded.

    Bears 1st-Half:

    (1) Justin Fields is going to be as tough to defend as Cam Newton. Plus, he's a better passer. He's got potential to be Josh Allen in the long run.

Fields is looking good, granted against second stringers and such. I think the Bears finally have a QB.

Wow, credit where it’s due. Great play by Jamal Perry on 3rd down!

Malcolm Perry doing some punt returning.

I wonder if Noah I could possibly move to S? Obviously pretty early in his career still but seems like he’s still struggling.

Some quick thoughts here. Tua only played 3 or 4 series, but he looked confident and in charge of the offense. Passes coming out quicker when needed, all of them looked accurate and he just has a lot more poise right now. The INT was a bad decision BUT they showed a close up of his face in the replay and that looked like his 2nd and 5th overall read, meaning he was scanning the field and just about to book it when he took the chance. That's a ball you almost have to throw in pre-season in my opinion...he was trying to thread a very tight window and ALMOST had it...it looked like our receiver had hands on the ball as well.

As far as the "NFL open" types of throws, the anticipation looked a lot sharper today. At one point, Gisecki was blanketed but as soon as he got even with the CB, Tua throws past him for a 50 yard total gain- fantastic play. He also threw Hollins open a few times and he's definitely a step forward in that regard.

I didn't see Waddle make any catches...was he on offense at all? He did have that sweet punt return where he danced, pranced, and fakes a few players out of their cleats for a 25+ yard return when he pretty much started with almost zero space. Definitely fun and I'm very excited to see this kid work...going to be a fantastic pick in hind-sight.

For context, we were stopped at the goal line twice and ran up the middle on 3rd downs both times. In a real game, I feel confident that we would have been up 21-0 with the starters. The D pretty much shut it down as well without Jones or X playing at all, and Iggy did okay in my opinion today...few pass breakups and tight coverages overall.

The bad news on the day is the offensive line struggled- lots of pressure getting through and Tua working quickly. But again, that's testament to Tua looking a lot more polished and we were winning 13-0 during this play period...so not too much complaining.

Seems right to me, guess we saw the same game. Would have loved to see Fields here, he would have been my Dolphins QB, but we took Tua he looked improved just hope he stays healthy.
