I agree with the original post. WR and CB are our weakest positions. Its early, sure... and i know these guys are young, but we need help at WR badly... even if its an aging vet who happens to be sitting around right now. Somebody needs to show these kids how to get the job done.

Sadly this will be addressed next year and via free agency and the draft, problem than is were asking the fans to wait a few more years so the rookie can learn to play..

Imagine a stud free agent Wideout, Ginn as the #3 if his *** does not straighten out and a STUD top 10 Wideout in the first round next year, with Camerillo and Bess as the #4,5 wideouts..

I do agree that Wide Receiver is one of our priorities in the next couple years. I don't see us addressing it next year until possibly the mid rounds. This team has a lot of holes right now. We need CB, Safety, NT, LB help as well. I wouldn't be surprised to see the management/staff hold off drafting a WR and try to add another off-season acquisition.

Also, we have a lot of young guys and people need patience and let them develop. I'm not pointing this directly at you, just NFL fans as a whole. This team is a work in progress at several spots including WR. On gameday, not one Receiver had 5 years of experience. The one guy that does on our team? He was inactive because he couldn't perform well. We do lack playmakers and threats out there but we're still a young core. Hagan is in his third year, Ginn second, Bess first and London second (I think). That potential and developmental process will need patience as I stressed it earlier. We are in a rebuilding process and not everything will be pretty unfortunately.

He toasted the other guys but I don't recall toasting Asoughma. The only time I remember the Broncos going Asoughma's way in the whole game was when Cutler ran at him and Asoughma took him down in the first half. The Broncos had a smart gameplan, "don't throw Asoughma's way and you'll win." I wonder if he will see less than 30 passes thrown his way again this year.

Remember when we argued about this a while ago? :D

I have to agree, this team needs to add a playmaking presence. I understand that you have/want to build through the draft but you can only have so much young guys. We need a guy who will get the defense's attention out there and that guy is Anquan Boldin. Boldin's talks in AZ are dead right now. He said "trade me or you won't see me back."

The Dolphins main problem is that we haven't had GMs and personnel people who could draft talented young players to develop in house.
Chambers had the talent but I think Miami's inability to get a decent quarterback contributed to his problems.
I am just afraid that even if we had drafted Bolden when we had the chance we didn't have the quarterback to showcase his talents or top make him the player he is today.
Everything can't be fixed at one time but it seems as though they have gotten a good start. If they can have several good drafts, not just the hit or miss drafts we have been used to, this team will be ready for the future and can be an elite team again as it once was, but thats JMO.

Boldin wants out in a huge way. We should do whatever it takes (besides offering our first rounder) to get him here and lock him up long term. Instant upgrade, instant #1 receiver...and he is still quite young.

I hate rookie receivers. Spending our first on one does nothing for me, that pick is reserved for a front 7 player. Go and spend in free agency and look to trade one of our 2nd's for an established guy.

While I agree with that, its also the coaching staff's job to throw an established veteran or two into the mix. Ernest Wilford was supposed to be that guy, and he's clearly not. Ted Ginn was basically forced into the role of #1 WR, and he isn't even close to being ready yet. He should be a complimentary speed burner to a complete #1 WR. Nothing more at this point.

Imagine the difference between this clouded group of WR's and a starting pair of "Boldin/Ginn"

Do not panic. In addition to what Rocky said, QBs and receivers have to learn each other and get timing down. There hasn't been enough time for that; Pennington hasn't been here long enough. After five or six games and a couple dozen practices they are going to be better. Patience, young Grasshoppers.
